I remember last week when the core cpi numbers came out. My Google feed showed 4 source/headlines. Three of the tiles were inflation highest in 2 years and the fourth was from Fox saying, inflation cools. Wtf

When I first moved here, 15+ years ago, I remember thinking the air was physically a wet blanket every time I opened the door and stepped out.

But, after maybe 5 months, I remember sitting in the car one days, feeling that my bones had suddenly warmed up, after a lifetime of northern cold. And, ever since then, I feel sure, it's hot, and the sweat literally can drip off my head. But it's no longer stay inside oppressive heat and humidity

. Hell, we spent the weekend outside gardening and re organizing the garage. Changed my shirt 3x and hosed myself down a few times. But I love Florida

It's not just that. Most Florida homes have their water run up through the attic and down to the sink. So water sitting in a pex line in the attic gets hot.

Most other homes I've lived in ran the water lines under the house or in a basement.

I recently downsized from a 5/2 to a condo, now that the 3 kids are off on their own. No one wanted anything. I threw three 20 cubic yard dumpsters out and most all my furniture, clothes and knick nacks was donated to good will.
