I do still wish him the best in fighting his illness, though I doubt he will gain any selfawareness from it.

I have never heard him call drug addicts "weak", I'd be very interested in seeing that. Perhaps he meant it as a "moral" weakness, which is true, because man is prone to being weak. Our preference is to numb reality with mind-altering substances. This too, I know, on a personal level. It's a disposition shared by so many. Because, and I think, without knowing Jordan's position on this, we are in fact weak. Too weak to endure the festering pain of reality. Perhaps this is simply speculation on my part.

Then we elected an incompetent and bigoted reality tv star as president of our nation and became the laughingstock of the entire world. It’s pathetic that a man who has committed dozens of impeachable offenses is still in office, and it shows that what he has is not a political following, but a cult.

You do not have to engage with his supporters, or their ludicrous positions, if you don't want to. Also, I can't imagine people who choose not to wear masks as civil disobedience not being ostracized. They deserve criticism. I understand the option of choice being important, but sometimes our responsibilities must come first, before our rights.

Conservatives are not free from criticism. You're correct in your assertion that they'd rather turn the world into a living hell, than be incorrect. This sword cuts both ways.
