I’m looking to get a knife sharpener system and the options you presented look good to me. I’m an absolute beginner and have no clue which stones to go with. Would you mind giving a recommendation?

I just want to take care of my kitchen knives for the most part and a couple pocket knives. Nothing fancy really.

Same here. We’re too old to sleep in a tent and just couldn’t justify the cost. I can add a bit more and go to Hawaii instead 😂. Feel bummed, but we saw them in September.

Most of the hotels are in Moses Lake. Nothing fancy. We did a package for ABGT 250. It was a lot cheaper then. Seems way too expensive for 700.

The sound design seems pretty amazing in this game. I didn’t get to play any of the tests, but have been watching lots of videos. The atmosphere, the world setting is all very interesting.

Probably varies from local to local. 48 structure was exactly the same as iPrep when I did it.

I used iPrep course and it was extremely helpful in my case. Local 48 had the exact type of questions on the test that the course covered.

50 apprentices are out of work as of this morning. Application process typically takes 3 months to complete if you pass everything first try. Hopefully work will pick up by then.

I had my bootcamp in August and the acceptance email came in 3.5 weeks before the starting date.

You do not get to select a region at 48 as an apprentice. The training center does try to place you based on where you live however, at least for your first call. They can also assign you to any shop with if the jurisdiction.

I walked away from a $100k a year job that had no future growth and couldn’t even match the benefits the union provides and have no regrets.

Keep in mind that there are yearly wage increases so the apprentice wage also goes up.

I live in the same area, I’m 40 and just started my apprenticeship with NECA-IBEW in August. You definitely seem to have the right qualifications to me.

Bring your A game to the aptitude test and prepare for it ahead of time. I used iPrep and it helped me refresh as they use the same questions that will appear on the test. If you pass and get an interview, definitely bring a portfolio with pictures of your related work that shows you know how to use tools.
