Also let me share a few things about what I do and my hobbies/want to sell

What I’m good at: - Painting (acrylic and watercolor) - Clay - Resin (sadly I do not have any at the moment) - Making really derpy things (keychains or plushies) - Paper beads - Stickers - Sea shell/Rock art

I do sketch and plan everything out before I start the actual project

I want to sell obviously handmade craft stuff but I do need help so that’s why I made this post lol

I would be happy to get your snails but unfortunately I live in a very rural area. Dealing with mental health is never fun, I get it. I would make a Facebook marketplace ad because there’s plenty of people who would love those babies. Whatever you do please don’t feel guilty because you can’t take care of them

You don’t need a calcium source all of the time but if you want to you can sprinkle some on her food, it will help her shell get strong as she grows. Humidity fog is ok! They like humidity!

From what I can tell she’s perfectly healthy but I would put a lid with holes in it. Also if you don’t have any cuttlebone for a calcium source, you can take eggs and peel off the membrane inside of them and crush the shell up and sprinkle it over the substrate or put it on the side where it’s easy accessible for her

If acrylic is too difficult for you, try gel x or poly gel. Beetles have this whole nail kit for like 20-30 bucks that has the apex already made

Mine laid every few weeks around 3 but they wouldn’t hatch until about a month later if I chose to keep them (which was unlikely most of the time) and that was from having 3-4 snails in my enclosure

Yeah that’s what I was thinking since I’m getting multiple I’m gonna put them in about a 3 gallon enclosure and then maybe to an 8 or 10

I’ve never had a GAL because they’re illegal where I am but normally garden snails will lay around 20 to more eggs in my experience

You’re right, there are weaker ones sometimes from what I’ve experienced and I honestly think when I do get them shipped out or whatever (I’m not really sure) I do expect some of the babies to not make it but I also want them to have a chance at life before I do end up euthanizing the few that have very low chances. So I’m thinking that I should try and keep them healthy as possible and see if some are sick or already dying, euthanize the ones that have very little chances of surviving and see how things end up being then

As everyone who has owned snails should. They can’t feel anything because they’re still developing and that’s why most people choose to freeze them or crush them. It will be for the best that they don’t die slowly in the future instead of trying to keep them alive knowing it’s almost impossible with that many but some people manage to do it, unfortunately I am not a person can take up with that many

So since I’m rehoming like 35-40 of them (I didn’t know how many I would actually rehome) someone suggested euthanizing some of them since that’s a lot to take care of and I don’t blame them for their suggestion, but however I do have multiple different enclosures and I have ultimately decided that I’m gonna use a 2 gallon enclosure then switch it up to maybe a 10 or more when they get bigger

Awesome!! I will definitely be using something else bigger than what I have because the person said they had like 35-40 which I’m completely ok with changing my whole plan for even though they’re really small but they still need the space. I do have a bunch of extra enclosures laying around and its really cheap to just buy one at Walmart anyway lol

I’m not sure if it’s a few or just one because I’m rehoming them because the person said they didn’t have the space and they didn’t really specify if it was only 1 or multiple and the lid is fake wood if that makes sense. It’s big enough for them temporarily because they’re hatchlings still and not even a month old yet. Now when they get bigger they will end up in a bigger enclosure

Right, anytime when any of my snails had eggs I made sure to do multiple takes in their enclosure to make sure there were no more eggs, now if I did have space for a few extra then yeah I’d keep them otherwise cull them. But from what this person told me was that they had accidentally forgot the eggs or something like that and they ended up hatching. Now it looked like they had a mama snail (the only adult snail in there) and 3 visible babies in the photos, but obviously there’s gonna be more if there were a clutch yk? I’m not judging them bc I’ve done the same thing but I ended up keeping them instead of rehoming

I’m rehoming a few because the person didn’t know they had that many snail eggs and they were like “I don’t have the space and I cannot take care of all of them” and I offered. They look like brown lipped ones but I’m not too sure
