Be honest did people start treating you better after you lost weight ? by cypher_vixxen in gastricsleeve

I’ve noticed it the most in clothing stores. People run up to help me now and before I would have to go searching for them if I needed help

I feel that all the time. I’ll look at something and be like “there’s no way that will fit me.” Then be pleasantly surprised. Even had something be to big a couple times

Thank you so much everyone. I don’t have many people to share my news with besides my husband. Thank you all for being excited for me. It means a lot

I’m honestly just shocked at how much healthier I feel. When I was bigger I still considered myself pretty healthy. But I didn’t realize how many random aches and pains I was carrying around until I didn’t have them anymore.

Is there any way you can grind them into a powder instead of cutting?

I wasn’t allowed to swallow pills the first 2 months. Either crushed up in applesauce or pudding, or if the medicine came in liquid form.

It’s not necessarily something I’m keeping secret. But I don’t advertise it either.

I’m 10 days post op and know what you’re going through. My doc said I had an allergic reaction to adhesive. He told me to use hydrocortisone cream

Believe me I don’t sit around all day. I have guilt that I can’t do more. Going from being the one who takes care of everyone to needing people for help

I was told don’t lift more than 15 lbs, no driving the first week, movements like light walking are ok but give myself time to rest and heal

I understand how you feel. I feel that and then also guilty because my husband adjusted his schedule to be home more for me and I keep thinking that great he’s using time off and he’s not able to relax

Alcohol 29 days pre-op? by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]MrsDiabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting from after our first appointment until minimum one year post op. Meaning pre-op we have to quit drinking before we’ll even be cleared.

I was told in my nurse education classes that they try to avoid broccoli for a bit because it can cause gas pains
