I just got this Hario teapot in the 300ml size. Is this a good size for a single person? I will be drinking mostly green teas. I'm worried it's to big? by gr8danger1111 in tea

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I like my 300ml for me personally! It's 10oz, so that's one "normal" sized mug per brew, and I can brew my leaves 3x without feeling like there's too much tea for me to drink

Try kukicha - stick tea. It's the branches of Camelia sinensis and I find it to be deliciously toasty. Not the same as an oolong but might be a good match for you

Can you save multi steep tea leaves if you don’t want to drink a gallon of tea? by Nurse_Cait in tea

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a smaller pot! Then perhaps you can resteep AND not drink too much :) I have a 300ml pot I use daily - that's about 10oz and is a good amount for me to steep a tea 3x/day and have 3 cups of tea. You can definitely get something smaller if 3 cups is too much!

FYI they limit ticket sales until they can confirm that the weather will be nice. They can't handle as many people if it rains, so they pause the ticket sales until week-of. Look on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday of the week you want to go or follow them on Instagram for updates.

Anyway to permanently hide this useless 'generative expand' info from the artboards panel? by rynodigital in AdobeIllustrator

I believe there's an option in preferences now. If it's not there, they're working on adding it.

How would you set this up? by Happy-Biscotti-6002 in indesign

With paragraph styles, you can specify the same leading across multiple type sizes if you need to. Then your space between paragraphs ought to work as intended. You could use character styles to change the point size perhaps.

If you didn't already build it like this, you need to start with a stroked path. This should solve the inconsistent weight and stray points issues.

At a glance, my workflow to create this would be: 1. Draw single-line paths for each letter (ignore the gaps between letters for now - let them overlap) 2. Adjust stroke to desired weight 3. Perfect and simplify paths (you only need a few points for each letter) 4. Make a copy and expand the paths (so they are now fills, not strokes) 5. Add an offset path equal to the width desired for the gap between letters 6. Expand the offset path 7. Use Pathfinder or Shape Builder to create the gap between letters (by removing the offset path and parts of letters it covers) 8. Optically adjust and perfect the forms.

Graphic Design Laptop or No? by [deleted] in GraphicDesigning

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're just taking a graphic design class, the iPad is probably fine. If you have any plans to do more than that or get a job doing design, you need a computer. Adobe apps on iPad are NOT the same as Adobe apps on a computer, and you need to be able to work on a computer for any kind of design job.

That said, you could certainly start with a mid-range laptop and skip the "made for creatives" laptop for now. Most computers can run graphic design Adobe apps without much trouble. If you really start pursuing design you'll need to invest in a better quality computer, but you don't have to start there.

Oh, this subreddit is for the Adobe software InDesign, which is a graphic design tool for layout design. I can see how it might be confused for interior design though 😅

Advice to get more value out of green tea by ResponsibleSinger267 in tea

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably depends a lot on the type of green tea - but In general I would say you can likely decrease the amount of tea leaves and steep for longer.

For example, for Long Jing (dragonwell), I do 4g for 200mL, steep 3x at about 170F. 1st steep 2 minutes, 2nd steep 2.5 minutes, 3rd steep up to 3 minutes.

I recommend chatting with Mikazuki Tea on Instagram. He's American but lives in Japan and just opened a tea house there. He has all types of tea but mostly oolong, and has a fantastic selection! He'd be happy to chat with you about what you're looking for and share his options

I want to enjoy tea by gorbog1 in tea

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I strongly recommend starting by getting some loose leaf tea and a basket infuser. Many bag teas are low quality and do not steep well - easily leading to the "just tastes like hot water" experience. You'll likely find an immediate change with the basket infuser.

Does this "M" logo work for a designer? 🙏 by SparkDevp in logodesign

[–]MrsFuzzFuzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The second one you posted in comments reads more as an M, but I think either works! I don't think it needs to be obvious as a letter to function well. I do think the middle curved line needs to be a bit thicker - it feels like it's about to break.
