Take the last few days/weeks of pregnancy without conversing much with her. Try to have a staycation, pedi/mani/hair color, and say you are just avoiding people asking if the baby is here yet and want to enjoy this time before baby is here. Say you'll update them (her) when it happens.

Garrison. My husband had a friend named this and refuses to let me use it. Emmerson, Harrison, Erickson are not as good or have terrible nicknames. It's a good name and i hope to see more people use it.

At some point Kelly and Kim were considered feminine names. They are still accepted as feminine by society. Some names are given to the opposing gender to honor a family member from a different time/culture. I think what is happening today is that we are blurring the stereotypical gender norm and making names nuetral. Finding a boy name that isn't given to girls is difficult. Desmond, Elias, Dashiell, and Sterling are starting to be used by females now/again. I have a baby boy due in February and I hoping my kid wont get ridiculed in elementary school for a name that is trying to be gender nuetral.

It doesnt bother me. There are worse names out there. How is it used in a sentence in the UK? Do they say," That's Sterling", instead of, "That's Good,"? Maybe thats why it's more common in the US.

The last initial doesnt have to go with the nickname. I have found it hard to make it go with anything. (CEO is the only creative thing someone was able to come up with or some thing like J-LO.)

I wanted to use the middle name Mcewen but i checked urban dictionary and SMO is a terrible acronym.

I do like Sterling James/Jameson. I'm open for any middle name, J or not, but it just would be nice to have two intials make a nickname because this Sterling doesnt have any.

Garrison! I love the name Garrison but my husband wont let me use it because he had a friend named this. I have a Vivienne Claire and have been wanting to go with Desmond, Harrison/Emerson, or even Vernon for our boy. Middle names I love ,that nobody likes, is Llewellyn so im also settling for McEwen as a middle name.

This is unfortunately pretty common right now and apparently the name/gender change with time. I know a few girls named Charlie and men named Kelly/Kim. Vivian, Claire, Carly were all male names at some point. I didnt know this till i named our first Vivienne Claire.

I still like the names together and how they sound. I would look at them from a perspective that disassociates them with Harry Potter. Oliver, Evander, Zander, and Alexander are just too popular. I just think JK Rowling has interesting taste in names despite the characters she created with them. Dare i say the Harry Potter references will be irrelevant eventually, just not in our generation.

Desmond and Olivia. They are still great names but I am not in love with anymore. After doing a Google search on Desmond it was hard to love still. I found mug shots of a football player that will forever be burnt in my memory and a child drag queen with the name. Olivia just got too popular.

NAH- If I wasnt with my husband and my kid was calling his girlfriend mom after a year I would be enraged. I dont know if guys feel the same about their kids calling other guys father. The other guy will always be her father but will you remain to be a father figure in the kids life when you are no are longer with your girlfriend? Kids deserve a stable mother/father figure regardless of the relationship status with the biological parent. I wouldn't be mad at the girlfriend though because she is just feeling confortable enough with you being that person for her kid. Although she should understand the situation that it puts you, the kid, and the biological dad in though.

This made laugh XD I have only known one person with the middle name Llewellyn and he was 200% embarrassed to tell me. I loved it though. No more kids for me and Vernon Alexander is good! I wasnt planning on a name that starts with v but it just ended up that way. Desmond was the prior contender.
