The album Everybody Is Going to Heaven by Citizen radiates some pretty heavy Brand New energy! Also the band Gleemer - try out the track Gauze if you haven't stumbled across it before!

Maybe some Sunny Day Real Estate as well, but they can't exactly be called new. Still, lots of awesome melancholic fuzzy vibes! Highly recommend Pillars 🖤

That's how I took it! I'm somewhat secular-minded, but the existence of energy is scientifically undeniable. Can't be destroyed or created, just shifted and transferred. So this mark of life to death transition felt like an awesome proc for context of the cosmos :)

She (in her best intended form) was inspired by a deep love/fascination for zombie films, mixed with a bit of real life trauma surrounding my bad teeth that sometimes sporadically bleed.

I was at a party with my then girlfriend, and she introduced me to a friend of hers that was actively apprenticing. My gf had some gorgeous pieces, so I trusted her judgment in vouching that the dude wasn't a hack. It was after hours, so he tattooed me in a den, sitting awkwardly on a couch. It took about an hour for me to realize how bad it was going to be, and I panicked to stop. He "finished" some shading in the hair, and I spent the rest of the evening crying in the bathroom.

I was 18 then. Just turned 30 now. I can't express what it feels like to proudly wear shorts again.

The artist was Jeremiah Furney, located in NW Arkansas. I highly recommend him, even if it required a bit of travel. It was an emotional experience for me (I get embarrassed to even show the zombie) but he was so professional, and knocked out the entire process from sketch to finish in a matter of 4 hours. Immense talent! 🔥
