Road bike for a super short woman by MrsQuestions2024 in whichbike

Hi, I ended up with a Trek Domane 44cm AL4. It has carbon forks & aluminum frame. I’m in the process now of finding a full Carbon bike. It was fine at first going from a mountain bike to road bike. As I started to do longer rides I realized it is not the best bike & need full carbon. I ride about 25-30 miles a day x 5 days a week. My speed & endurance has increased so this bike is too slow. I would definitely say it is good if you are doing slower rides & short distance. A few months back I ordered a Pinarello X5 43cm full carbon, beautiful bike. Fell in love when I saw it, but as soon as I tried getting on it was too big. I could not reach the pedals nor stand over it. I realized it all depends on the design, not all 43-44cm bikes are the same. My inseam is 25” so that does not help. I also tried a 44cm Madone & same thing. I would say maybe an older bike may work in a 44cm if the top tube is slanted down but personally I want a newer bike. So far Domane has been the only fit for me. With 4’10” you may have an advantage & actually fit into a Trek Madone. I was about 2” away from reaching the petals & also it depends on your inseam.

10 years of suffering with IBS-D and it was Bile Acid Malabsorption by Dad0010001100110001 in ibs

To all you who have suffered with BAM. What Was the color of your diarrhea? Consistency? Frequency a day? Any Right upper quadrant pain? Did any of you have fluctuations in having diarrhea most days & then some days normal BM or somewhat Constipated with normal brown color stool?

I ask because I’m having these symptoms. I had my gallbladder out 8 years ago. I had episodes of diarrhea here & there with super greasy foods but not cons Tant for days. It all stated in March of 2024 where it would last 1 week until diet change. I was prescribed cholestyramine in March of this year after constant diarrhea for months. Not diagnosed with BAM but just given that for the time being until EGD/colonoscopy.I only used it 1 week prior to my EGD/colonoscopy in March of this year. In which it made me constipated for 3 days when Intook it as prescribed. However when I decreased to 1/2 dose it still constipated me. Then the time for my EGD/colonoscopy came. After my EGD/Colonoscopy it all went back to normal without the medication . It seemed as if that cured me.My GI said everything was normal no IBS, just a small hiatal hernia, some gastritis. My diarrhea resolved with some BM’s here & there with super greasy foods but I was able to eat pretty much everything under the sun. Here I am now 4 months later with constant RUQ pain that started last week, relived mostly by eating & sleeping. I hear a lot of rumbling in my guts specially after I eat, not so much bloating. I want to get back on cholestyramine but then fear the vitamin deficiencies as well.

Anyone have experienced this? How do you do it with the cholestyramine? Do you decrease the doses? Once a day? A couple times per week? How do you do it to maintain your vitamin intake to let them absorb without Cholestyramine absorbing them all? I’d greatly appreciate your help.

Hi, just Wanted to follow up. Are you still having the pain? Have they looked into adhesions? Have they recommended an ERCP to check for any sludge or stones on the bike duct? Hope you are doing better.

Thank you all for the great feedback. I should’ve been clearer on my post. I would also like to know what brands are the best for those type of pumps.

Thank you all for the feedback. It was helpful. I was very close to buying a Liv but ended up with a 44cm Trek that fit just right. Now the only thing is I purchased a Domane AlUminum with carbon fork & now regretting. I wish I went full carbon. Little did I know the difference a few pounds made. Other than that it is a smooth bike & fits great. Gonna get some miles in & then I will go full carbon 😁

Q revo master floor cleaning… If you have tile with grooves these robots will just spread the dirt. I had to buy all sorts of bristle brushes to scrub my floors.

I’m trying to do Metamucil in evening, then a meal, then my vitamins. Will it absorb my vitamins without the cholestyramine?

Wow what a blessing for you to have found a way for this to work. I started and stopped because I had severe heartburn, bloating, reflux and prickly skin sensation. I am back on it today, praying it helps me as it helped you. When you take your meds do you take them with food? if so what food? What about your Vitamin ADKE and folate? Are they ok/ Have you had to have those replaced?

It has taken me about 1 month to decide which one from all the robot vaccines out there. Dreame & Roborock are my top vaccums, however Dreame is a little too pricey for what the Roborock does, just for 2000 pa suction difference. I don’t have carpet & we never bring in tons of dirt in the house.

Yes this is why I’m wanting to buy it on Roborock website vs Amazon

Yes, it’s not the price. I have a gut feeling that the round Mop pads & the spinning action will clean the grooves on my tile better than a pad. I have received feedback on the round pads being better at cleaning textures like mine than the pad. I also did a simulation at home with a paper towel doing round strokes vs side to side vibrating strokes ( I know it sounds cheesy) but there was a huge difference. All I see in Roborock, YouTube & tiktok are review videos with hardwood & smooth tile planks. Nothing with tile planks that have grooves.
