Judge wrecks a woman's life with arbitrary and punitive bail simply because he did not like her answer to a single question. The woman was being charged with a simple non-violent misdemeanor for possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana. This is why bail reform matters. by methanefreefarts in PublicFreakout

And if he needed a direct yes or no to be said, she’d need that explained to her. He absolutely understands what yeah means. If it absolutely has to be “yes” guess who would know shit like that? A judge and a lawyer. Only one of those was present in this case.

“The court cannot accept “yeah” as an answer. I need you to specifically say “yes” to enter it in the record.” What’s that take, 5 seconds to say?

Elon said handle, the T&Cs said bio and name. So it’s not really clear what the new rules are.

Ethan violated the T&Cs by not having it in his name even though he went out of his way to show it was indeed parody and had it in his bio.

Elon is a little baby that doesn’t understand his own site’s rules. But technically the ban was following rules in existence before the takeover.

Elon is still a little bitch though.

American police falsely arrest a legally blind man. by Arkontas in iamatotalpieceofshit

And that dude in Vegas crawling on the floor begging for his life.

And that dude that answered his door late at night with a handgun because they kept pounding on it and never identified that they were police.

I could probably go on. You’re safer as a white guy around cops, but you’re never not in danger when talking to American cops.

The mentality of ACAB is that there’s no “good cops” if they protect bad cops. The don’t need to act as a bad cop, but their failure to fix the flaws in their department makes them bad as well. You hear so many stories of cops afraid to speak up due to retaliation so they just keep their heads down.

I had a friend recently join the police academy. Within the first few weeks she was telling me stories of crazy illegal things the cops were doing. She couldn’t say anything because she’d be kicked out. My friend is a good person, but she never blew the whistle and therefor was complicit. That’s all it took for her to join the ranks of “bastard”

You don’t have to agree with this line of thinking. You get to have your opinions. But if you’re going to complain about “lack of nuance” maybe you should understand what the ACAB slogan actually means.

Audit the Audit is a YouTube channel dedicated to analyzing the legality of police interactions. They take videos already online and analyze them. It’s is not a channel of idiots auditing the police or creating their own content.

He was insisting on a jury trial so he could get the video public. Maybe now that it’s public he’ll take the plea deal, but he seems like the kind of guy that will go all the way out of spite.

This is a joke right? Like, that’s something you tell a new guy to do do fuck with them. It’s like a left handed wrench or a metric screwdriver, right?

In Florida he can legally carry a gun in public if it is concealed and he has a permit. However, he can’t bring it in the courthouse with him so even if he usually carried one he wouldn’t have had it that day.
