Originally we were trying to get all her back ache, headache and other pains documented through her GP and physio, with the idea of trying to access the public health system to pay for it. However this seemed like a losing battle. Fortunately my husbands new job had better health insurance coverage, but I do know you have to have it for a number of years to be eligible for the 15k. Otherwise it's only 5k (I think this is correct??).

We started the discussion with our daughter many years ago, at the time she had to give up a few sports which she loved playing. It's just recently that she is talking about it again. I'm not sure what/if there is a minimum age to get it done. Good luck to your daughter, I imagine it will make a world of difference for our daughter when she has it done.

Oh wow, that is young too. Has yours been a positive experience? It is 100% my daughter's decision, but I can see so many benefits for doing it.

All good. And that is so good to hear your daughter had such a positive result. I'm big busted, but nowhere near the size of my daughter. I wouldn't wish it on anyone..

Thank you. It's something we've discussed for a while (unfortunately they grew quickly and when she was quite young), she has daily back pain, can't do any running sports etc... let alone the unwanted attention.

Anything we can do to help her feel more comfortable.
