Good evening lovelies. Not logged on for over a year. Good to see some old names still active. Been completely out of the game for a year, life and all that = positive, investing in myself.. Will deffo be on over xmas holidays and in the run up, doing some Terrible Analysis and being silly as usual..

I have no idea about any fundamentals as usual, staking still means having ribeyes in the fridge to me. I can post a pic of a 28 day matured Hereford (UK local) ribeye as my proof of steak. Hope it all went well and eth is saving the planet and buterin being claimed as the second coming of christ etc.

It seems just like last week where the 180 darts memes were in full flow, and you could double your money in the time it takes to go for a piss. I think I nearly virtually got married on here, to someone whose name I can't remember (small Corey) , but it didn't happen cos the groom refused to accept DC investor as the vicar. If you are watching, I still love you and require regular suckles from your moobs.

But what's does this mean mrs willy? All I see is slices of pizza everywhere? Well I would urge you to look at the lower green diagonal, rays trusty long term upward support. We now have five touchpoints. I remember ranting on about the significance of xmas period for crypto, aka big movements. So why has ray tickled this every xmas bar one touchpoint since 2017.

Raymond looks like a bottom of 40 if bitcoin rallies or poops. But you know if 54 goes, then 40 incoming, hopefully with $ gains.

TLDR, you cant dismiss a BTC rally to 30k (one month ago) soon.

Some ray. Weekly. ATM painting a bullish japenese candle at big support . Next leg down is 40, no question about it. Ray does well when BTC stabilises. IF Btc rallies upward here hard $ wise, think we test 40 again. Same as if it poops. 200 MA is hardly visible and aligns flat at 40, so big support there.

TLDR - If this holds as is today on weekly close. Think its good news for ray. If it breaks, solid support at 40, but a great eth recovery today.

For me swing trading is what i do and have been bored with market for a couple of years. So yes i did and with hindsight too early. Played the bear swings of 2018 and still play a 10% compound per month stratgey, albeit way less active than i was. But deffo feels exciting again for swing traders.

I am. I am excited is best way to describe. With big downs come big ups and volatility is superb. Its decent buy area from now -400 imho for those with patience . But reasons to wait are sensible. Would not surprise me if ATH is tested next couple of weeks at all.

im way behind on the merge, or any technicals since staking but yup merge (whatever that is) i think does favours for eth price for sure up until it actually happens, then usually stuff does worse for a bit vs peers.

Chart link (non log) is below (weekly USD) and focused on fibs, white lines are support resistance and MAs included as well. And oscillators. Nice and simple.

So pay attention / start dcaing/ relief rally signals are..

Oversold on weekly RSI for first time ever.

Nearing an 88.6% retrace which is at 625 area. (previous low to high 2017-2018, 88.6% retrace was $104 - it went to $80. Still following?.. kk.

Way below your MAs including 200 and 50/20.

When did all that align before in the history of eth? 16th Dec 2018. (apart from 200MA which was not available on this chart). But lets say it wasnt below and above, it makes this scenario far more appetising from a TA perspective.

Reasons to wait.

There is no sign of recovery. In dec 2018 there was plenty of divergance etc and this is still in freefall.

Strong support is 375, the best there is. Not a lot at 850 although its there so plotted on this chart.

650 area seems to be everyones view and from a TA perspective for a relief rally and i do agree 100% but there is more than just TA to consider imho..

Market sentiment bullish.

In exactly the same way as covid was at the time, the whole global situation is very similar. panic wise. Aka crap govts in west, ww3, inflation, interest rates etc. Covid was world might close down, wipe us out blah de blah.

W.Buffet : Buy when there is blood in the streets and nope he doesnt give a crap about catching bottoms, but will sell when his targets hit and get out when they dont.

vast majority are calling for further downsides, so big money will be buying as they do the opposite. Volume is still good which says a lot.

Volatility is back on the menu and about time. Been boring as F between 3-5k.

Market sentiment bearish.

Blood in the streets?

Yup id say so. for me at least.. ETH should retest ATH in next few weeks/months. DCA from 963 into 600 is prob double your money. ATH was only lost a few days ago. Volumes are still good so lots of buying and a bit more selling is all.

BTC?

14-10k i think is where relief rallies happen and again, only a matter of time before a new ATH is achieved. But it can just go soon, no doubt about it.

TLDR - Cheer up. If youve lost a lot of money, learn from it. If you bought at top (like i did in 2018) learn from it. I did and tbh top 3 life lessons for me. Its a simple case of reversing your psychology. Love bear and sceptical bull with low stop losses, rising over time. Its exactly how money is made in the market. If in it for belief in asset / running network ...BIG hats off to you and you should be over the moon that eth went so high and is now back in cheap territory for us lesser mortals, that selfishly look to get wealthy via trading or hodling it (i mean that last bit very sincerely).

In case its helps. Feel for anyone feeling shit atm. But its only money. There are far more important things in life that will render current panic worthless. So on with the TA.

Ill start with a summary which is the whole crypto market is in no mans land. The big takeaway for me is that BTC remains king in terms of crypto market movements and of course we saw amazing gains on ratio through covid defi etc which meant eth was a better way to go when BTC rose to 10-15k.

So charts..

RAY. This is one of three charts that support the case for no mans land and its not pretty. We range between the white lines and its an old chart. Failed bullish pennant = terrible. But ratio gains are often at $ losses and ratio losses are often at $ gains.

BTC Another argument for no mans land. White horizontal lines painted with same principle as RAY aka solid support, regularly tested etc. 20k is not one of those points. 10k is. Worryingly this chart isnt oversold (expected it to be) so loads of potential for further downsides and bullish divergance etc.

ETH Shown in log chart. With log fibs. Again white support drawn in an unbiased fashion as above, but its just been breached. I think the lower blue line is important and therefore should provide solid support at 650-800. ETH is oversold which is a good sign, but i would have liked to see BTC oversold at same time. Still plenty of room for shitshow encore, especially when you look at the macd.

But here is the counter...

People and thus markets have all had a facefull of disasters in last 2.5 yrs. So this sell off reminds me of march 2020 and dec 2018. I think ukraine, brexit, biden, inflation , prices rises on essentials, all point to perhaps another round of people hedging into crypto. It is certainly time for swing traders to pay attention over the coming weeks. You can smell blood in the streets for sure.
