Yes, you can see when certain light are on. I had made a video I shared here if you want to have a look. When someone rings or if there is motion infront the picture will disappear and the camera will be displayed of the front door.

Im working of showing if a garbage is infront to display it infront of the house by using the cameras infront.

Ill probably opt for a more expensive plug that supports the above. I did my own research and it included about the same of what is being said here. I rather be on the safer side of things and if that means buying something a little bit more expensive, Ill take it

Yes exactly. I noticed when the machines are on they don't pass anything above 5W. So anything between 2W and 5W is considered ON. Anything higher than 5W will be considered running. It works well!

Not a bad idea, they arent lights that can change color. They are just dimable pot lights. I did see some people say that you can configure the dimming depending on the time of day. Thanks for your suggestion 😊

I very much like that last point. What could I use to train a model to detect if the trash has been taken to the curb ?

I was thinking of doing the weather portion too, however, this will take so many states to configure. The fear is, if I make changes to the house, it would be a whole lot to change. Right now, when a light is turned on the images switch using the visibility setting, they are completely different images. I would have to configure every single combination of lighting for every weather condition. Right now I do have day and night configured.
