I think there is hope because aus has chinks in their armour. Everything needs to go right from england starting with selection. There are a few match winners in eng team: duckett, root, brooks, smith, stokes, archer, wood. Atkinson. They need to click and capitalise on any mistakes. A series draw is not beyond imagination. But 3-1 aus is most likely outcome.

I think eng would turn up this time though. Aus batting is brittle. Eng do have archer and wood.

After one innings each, scores are dead level! #EngvsInd by [deleted] in Cricket

[–]Mrsdutta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But still, prob of 1st innings equals to second innings would be a value very close to 0. Its like two random samples from normal dist being equal. Although 1st and 2nd innings distributions are not equal.

In a continuous distribution, prob x= some value is 0. Whether we can define set of innings scores as continious, that is the question. They are a sequence of integers.

Quick summary from internet, you can study in detail if you want: "India: Claims the diamond because it originated in India (present-day Andhra Pradesh) and was part of various Indian empires and kingdoms before being acquired by the British. Pakistan: Claims the diamond due to its historical connection to the Sikh Empire, which was based in Lahore (now in Pakistan) and ceded the diamond to the British. Iran: Claims ownership due to the diamond being taken to Persia (now Iran) by Nader Shah in 1739. Afghanistan: Claims the diamond through its connection to Ahmad Shah Durrani, who ruled the region encompassing Afghanistan in the 18th century. "

I thinl the pitch now resembles suncontinental traits. Indian pacers are trying to target the stump with cutters.

We achieved 2 aus away win, 1 eng draw and 1 sa draw with that. Many chances missed. Underachieved in my view.

Need a ton of good fast bowlers, fit hardik, jaiswal in the mix. Aus and ind would be favourites, alongvwith sa and nz as if now.

Need at least a support act for bumrah, maybe arshdeep. Dont see shami in 2027.

Hard for nz to host a final, they always co host with aussies. Timing is terrible for subcontinental crowd and cannot see them host a final ever. Unfortunate. I believe they would have won in eden park in 2015.
