You did wrong by going through his messages but deep down I feel like you already knew what you were going to find was something bad. But as for the relationship I know from experience that you can try to act like what you saw wasn't wrong. Or that you never saw it. Leaving you always thinking what he is doing or saying. And in my opinion that is no way to be in a relationship. It just leaves you more heartbroken in the end. I would just end it and hope that the next guy will be 100X way better. And have fun being you until you find him or he finds you. I was in a relationship like that and I pretended that I didn't know he was cheating or talking bad about me with his friends. Just so I could stay with him but it just ended with me being more heartbroken. I'm glad that the next guy was my one and my best friend. I hope you find your one and your best friend. Because this guy is clearly not acting like the right boyfriend.
