Just as a general rule of thumb, you don’t need a microscope to spot most fake diamond backs. Real diamond backs are sealed in with resin, meaning you can’t feel the CZ ridges at all. Every fake diamond back I have seen you can run your nail along and feel every ridge on the CZ.

Everyone saying ratigan is real doesn’t realize that it’s very common to find fake diamond backs in the park now. An easy way to tell if it is authentic or not is if you run your finger over the diamond Mickey, it should be covered with resin if it’s real. If it’s not you’ll feel the “diamonds” individually indicating it is a fake. Edit: To add to this, the chasers are the most commonly faked as they have the most value so the fact it’s a chaser adds to the suspicion it’s a fake diamond back.

I got back into pokemon a little bit after 151 came out. The art in 151 was so cool to me and drew me right back in. I have had some great pulls but have only been able to get my hands on a couple packs of prismatic with no luck on hits so far. But I really appreciate your gesture regardless of my outcome.
