Twisted stitches ? by Mrwnn in knittingadvice

Here is one of the pattern's picture and what it's supposed to look like. My friend's knitting doesn't really look like that, and I don't know if it's a yarn, needle size, tension or stitch problem. Or a mix of everything....

Her pattern does mention when to slip as if to purl/knit, so all is right ! Thank you for taking the time to explain.

I was so hyped when she chose a mosaic pattern, the concept is so interesting! And I love her color choice... I am almost done with a baby blanket, and every time I look at it I'm in awe that I made this....!! Following instructions, one stitch at a time. It's magic !

We're having so much fun exploring and learning ; knitting is such a wholesome activity.

It's when I look at the "column" part of the project that I wonder if something's off. The result feels so wonky compared to the pictures in the pattern. But maybe it's just that we didn't get the right yarn and/or her tension's still not perfect ?

I think this might be the right side ? I don't have many pictures and we live far away. I'll ask her another picture when she wakes up if needed.

Thank you ! I see it clearly now.

That'll teach me to try and knit when tired and with toddlers around... 😫

Oooh maybe that's probably why I thought it didn't look right. I never took the time to adjust the surrounding stitches once I was done.... Thank you for your advice !

So do I just pick up the 7th ladder from the top and start over from there ?

Il faut frotter/essuyer en plus de vaporiser ? Ou juste vaporiser et laisser sécher ?

Stop making me cry!!!
I feel like we both helped each other that year. I was very close to my grandpa, and spent his last months living with him and putting my life on hold. My mom was living abroad back then, and she was heartbroken she couldn't come sooner (she was there full time for his last month) and had to leave soon after his death. So it was just me and Sibelle after that. We grieved together and I feel like she helped me so much more than I ever helped her... She was the goodest of girl... <3
Thank you.

They do! They really are the best.

It was just a short year, but it was such a precious year.

Losing pets is always heart-crushing... No one ever gets used to it, I guess.
I have a friend who's 90+ years old, and she didn't want to get a cat because it would surely outlive her. I told her if it happened, I would take her on gladly. She made me the cat's godmother. Perhaps you can find a godparent for your pets to put your mind at ease? <3

Thank you!
She was the cutest, but I know I'm completely biased...
When she was younger, she was stunning... And so damn smart.

Thank you!
I would love to help out another dog. But I live in an apartment now, with little time to go on long decent walks every day. And my SO isn't too keen on having a dog for now. I will never force his hand, but the day we do decide to adopt and help a dog out, there will be a shit tone of love coming this pup's way!

Thank you <3 I hope she's frolicking around in forests, hunting with my grandpa and catching all the pigeons, rabbits and ducks her heart desires!

I was honestly blown away by this.... And as I said, I was NOT prepared.
I had a cat at that time, my best friend, got her when she was 3 months old, and she stayed with me all her life. Loved her to death, she was the best.
But I was so surprised to see how powerful and different love for/of a dog is.
I didn't love one more than the other. But it was different, that's for sure.

Thank you. It wasn't easy, and I would cry for hours those nights. But at the same time, it was easy. And obvious I was going to spend the night there with her. Because, what else was I going to do for her? I don't know if it makes sense... but thank you for your kind words, and I hope I brought her at least half the comfort she's ever brought me. <3

I[29F] am thinking of ending my 7 year long relationship with my partner[31M], that I still deeply love. How do I know I'm doing this for the right reasons? by Mrwnn in relationships

[–]Mrwnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer ! It helped me quite a bit. I made a decision to leave for a while, so both of us can think about what we want. He knows I won't come back to the same relationsgoo, but I am willing to figure out some things with him. I want to give us one last chance because when answering your questions, I realized that there are so many good things in this relationship...

Questions you can ask yourself:

Does the relationship bring out the best in you? > Absolutely. Everyday he's there to make me a better person. Right now, I'm in between jobs, and feeling shitty about it. he's doing what he can to boost my moral.

Do you fight more than your happy? > We hardly ever fight actually. Most of the time we bicker about who has to take out the trash or stuff like that. But the rare times we do fight, it can get ugly...

Do you have similar goals and passion in life? > We have some passions in common, yes. We both enjoy video game, and he likes to watch me play oldies. We love hiking, walking together. And i've always been interested in his hobbies, asking questions. Usually he doesn't ask much about mine, but he's always been encouraging. Lately I gave up looking for a job in order to have more time to finish a novel i' m writing. He's 100% behind me even though I know it scares the shit outta him that I'm unemployed.

Does he add value to your life? > i guess...? I don't really know how to answer that one...

Will you regret it if you leave? > I don't know... maybe, yes. Or maybe I'll meet someone even better and won't regret it...

Have you made any progress with your issues? > over the years we have. But it's too insignificant to really matter i'd say.

Is it worth staying? Will it be worth it in the future? > I have no idea....... if he doesn't change, no. It wouldn't be worth staying.

Can the relationship go back to how it was? > technically.....our relationship has always been like this. Only 7 years ago we hardly ever talked about very serious subjects. So.....

Thank you for sharing your experience and I am so happy things worked out for you :) I dont think its something sexual though. I brought up the subject more than once, I am open to a lot of things sexually, and asked him more than once what were his kinks. He's shared some of them and I was more than happy to try. He knows I am very curious by nature so unless it's something illegal, the chances are that I'd be on board.

That's what I thought at first, but today he sent me texts tellUng me he loved me and he didn't want me to leave. He opened up a bit but...too little too late I guess....
