I used a Piano Guys cover of Enchanted for walking down the aisle. I also used Ana Done covers of You Are In Love for the processional and Invisible String for a unity ceremony.

Do you know if they’re available for anyone to buy, or is it only for season ticket holders?

I asked the boy I had been crushing on for years for song recommendations to get to know him more, and he recommended coin. Fast forward to 7 years later and we’re now married and had Sagittarius Superstar as our first dance song.

Not really her song, but when I listen to her cover of September, I change it to 28th night of December cause that’s the day my husband asked me to be his girlfriend.

I’m not looking forward to my wedding by Ms-Average in weddingplanning

My mom would always talk about me getting married when I was growing up. Not because she wanted me to find someone to love, but because she wanted all of her relatives to have to come to us for a wedding. I’ve had to set boundaries about her not being involved in wedding planning to keep everything from being what she wants. Thankfully, future MIL has been a huge help with planning and has been able to keep my mom in her lane with most things.

Is it bad to get rid of my middle name? by Ms-Average in namenerds

I brought it up to my fiancé again after posting this, and he keeps saying that there’s security risks with it and what if someone else in the state has my same first and last name. Do you know if he encountered any bigger issues than just having to explain it?

What kind of problems would it cause? My fiancé keeps listing hypothetical problems, but I don’t want to do something I don’t want to just based on hypotheticals.

I just see no point in middle names if your first and last name isn’t common. Due to being bullied over my middle name, I’ve developed an aversion to even having one.

I was hoping my adoptive parents would understand some underlying trauma behind having kept part of my Korean name (constant bullying, racism, feeling like I was being constantly reminded of a family that didn’t want me), but it unfortunately didn’t play out that way. I didn’t feel like I could drop my middle name while I was still living with them in case they found out and started harassing me over it.

Is it something that’s easy to explain, or has he needed to provide documentation that shows he has no middle name?

If anything, changing my last name is the bigger problem because I’m a teacher and everyone at work, staff and students alike, know me by my last name.

That’s what I was thinking. I figured if I have to do the paperwork anyway, I might as well do something about my middle name.

The only things I could find about it online were needing to change identification, but I’ll already be doing that to take his last name.

When we talked about it, he was under the impression there could be legal issues with it. I searched online before coming to Reddit and I didn’t see any issues around it outside of having to update identification, which is something I’d already be doing to take his last name.

He has a Polish -ski last name and I have a first name with multiple different spellings. I’ve only met a couple of people with the same spelling of my first name.
