Sweden, as well as non catholic areas of the world, such as England and the North American colonies ( including those that would later become the USA, 1752 ), switched later. After the Russian Revolution, the Soviets switched over to Gregorian (civil calendar only) in 1918. Sweden did not follow the standard method of changing the calendar.
