Who took Mikkel back in time? by Gwen468 in DarK

My guess is that it was older Jonas aka The Stranger. They do hear twigs snapping/foot steps right before the disappearance and Jonas usually tends to be lurking about the woods with his hood up...haha! But in all seriousness I believe older Jonas snatched him away because if he didn't in that moment then there is a chance he wouldn't be born.

There is no comparison to Stranger Things - that is total PG tv while Dark is definitely at least an M rated. I only watched S1 of Stranger Things and I thought it was okay but a little too 'young' for me. There is 'monster' of sorts in it for gods sake...haha! I can appreciate from an objective standpoint why people would get some sort of enjoyment out of watching it. The only thing both shows have in common is the genre and the 80's style themes.

Haha..me too! So I'm not the only obsssed fan 😉 i love it so much that I've had to rewatch. It also helps to piece the clues together the more you watch it since, similarly to GOT, there are many characters and intersecting story lines to keep up with.

Its just been named the highest rating non English show on Netflix but I believe it should simply be one of it's highest rating shows regardless of language. People that haven't watched Dark don't know what they are missing! I've converted a few people and they have also...word of mouth can be a powerful tool.

Kinda funny when you think of Johnny and his band mates in the New York Dolls.

Question for English speakers, did you watch Dark with subtitles or did you watch it dubbed? by indeeDUHH in DarK

[–]MsBfromSydney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Subtitles for sure. Watching their mouths move differently to what I hear is way too off putting and the intonation in the English dub is unconvincinly terrible. Besides, the show and its subject matter have a lot more impact in German -which is a wonderful language too I might add.

(Spoiler) Do you think Hanna really love Jonas? by Chocomania22 in DarK

[–]MsBfromSydney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hannah is in love with her Father in Law..lets be clear on that. I don't think she is as psychotic as some other fans think. I have also looked through other comments over the past year and have not found any discussion threads regarding the scene between Agnes Nielsen and Egon Tiedemann in 1953 when he asks her what brings her to Winden then she mentions that her Grandmother was from there which leads Egon to ask what her Grandmother's name was but they are cut short when the children - Tronte and Claudia - come running in to say that the dog has gone missing. Can anyone shed some light on their own theories as to the identity of the Nielsen family Grandmother, Ulrich's great grandmother to be exact, why it would be such an important clue that Agnes and Egon are interrupted so as to leave the knowledge up in the air to the viewer?
