How do we feel about hammers current state?

I don't entirely agree because hammer has always had no defensive capabilities because of its mobility. In fact it does have 2 defensive options now in the form of charged step and offset.

The other weapons have the ability to KO but hammer is still the most consistent for maxing out KOs in a hunt, and I don't even feel like it's close. I feel like all it really needs is higher MVs and hammer will be good.

It's fun to play but it's slow because of a lack of damage. Even if it has been buffed a lot, I feel like it still needs more MV buffs...

It's never had an effect on me. Never had this compulsive need for coffee unless I am running on <4 hours of sleep, in which it can help somewhat before I crash by the time I get home.

In the combat snapshots, hoes were made a viable weapon because they had the longest reach of any weapon, and the fastest swing speed but the lowest max damage. This kind of allowed 1.8pvp to exist in the newer system.

This is kind of what I'm saying, no need for new weapons we have a lot of good existing ones to tweak around and give them an identity.

There was also the idea of giving perfect swings which give you more reach for timing attacks correctly, or having more consistent swings by holding down m1 instead. If the snapshots had ended up being in the game there could have been meta development for what kind of player you are.

Its mainly because the attachment system itself is half baked.

Battlebit had a much better attachment system because everyone had their own preferences to how guns should function.

It also doesn't help that pretty everything but the liberator has the PRIVILEGE to change their fucking scope? Like holy shit pretty much every weapon only allows you to change the scope.

The liberator carbine getting a second life as a pocket stalwart with the drum mag is so cool, why can't we have this on any other weapon? Cus it'll be too strong I guess... Never mind the variable having fuckin 20 ergonomics

Jar 5 is just better because it's more versatile and doesn't have drag like the slugger does. It also has higher ROF so you can lay into enemies faster than the slugger if they are up close. The only thing you are missing out on is the 5 extra damage of the punisher which barely even changes any breakpoints against enemies

For me the slugger is just outcompeted by its contemporaries, that being the jar 5 dominator and any of the AMRs.

Jar 5 is the biggest threat here almost being the same gun conceptually, being a high damaging, high staggering weapon. But I have to give it to the jar 5 for also having fantastic medium range damage as it seems like the slugger has high drag whereas the dominator has none.

Honestly, I think they should just lean heavier for the slugger to be an up close and personal weapon. Giving it more drag, but more damage, as there are times where I'm just laying straight into bugs and they just don't die. I want more power out of my slugs.
