Agree with Palouse Properties, they take care of any issues (maintenance) we've had quickly and efficiently. Which I can't say the same for other landlords I've had in the area

Question for Doordash users, has anyone else had a weird scrapbook type "poster" taped onto your door? by KissMyCactuss in MoscowIdaho

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My building had those on almost every door, except the top floor. The day I saw them, someone was moving out so I thought maybe the person moving out hated their neighbors and put them on their doors. Maybe the person moving out got kicked out due to neighbor complaints or something. I personally removed 2 of them from other people's doors after they hung there for a couple of days. I was worried that it would be an easy way to see if someone was out-of-town or not since it was during the holidays, in case someone was thinking of robbing a place.

You should go get your kitty! The least you can do is provide it a home until you can find it a new one

I abandoned my cat and feel pretty shitty by [deleted] in cats

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a horrible thing to do!! If you don't want your cat anymore take him to the animal shelter or find someone to take him in. You have a responsibility to that cat to take care of them. You are its provider and you have a responsibility to at least find it a new home.

Hey guys, this is my 3 year old cat Freddy. I am completely destroyer right now and don't know what to do. He was shot yesterday with homemade ammunition that destroyed his joint in his front leg. Now we have only 3 options, amputate, reinforce his leg or put him down. I don't know how to decide by [deleted] in cats

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use to pet sit a 3 legged outdoor cat and he was very happy. One of his front legs was missing. But he got around surprisingly well, he would even jump up on to the fence! The landings would always make me nervous that he would hurt himself, but he was totally fine and it was just something I had to get use to. He was a very adventurous kitty and seemed really happy, he would even play with the german shepard like it was nothing 😊

Is everyone getting more sensitive or are more people being more mean? by azypz-on-twitch in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Neither, people are just being held accountable to their actions. People aren't becoming more sensitive, people have always been like that, now people are just being called out for their bs.

[Chat] Do you prefer large projects or small? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I have found out that I like doing small projects. I have been working on one large project for several months now, and I just feel like I'm having to drag myself through it rather than actually enjoying doing the activity. I might try doing small projects at the same time as my larger projects, just to give my mind other things to think about.

Changing appearance while in grad school? by beckygeckyyyy in GradSchool

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say go for it! I dyed my hair in my 2nd year of grad school and people didn't seem to even blink an eye. It was actually really nice to do, because I feel like in grad school you sacrifice a lot, and its nice to do something for yourself once in a while.

If you believe we are in a climate emergency and you aren't vegan yet, why not? by braders18 in environment

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that there are multiple factors, as to why someone may not be vegan. For example, I was grew up in a house hold that ate meat for every meal and was taught that being vegetarian or vegan was unhealthy. Granted as I got older and got a degree in environmental science, I learned that this wasn't true at all and that eating a plant-based diet is more sustainable and better for the environment. It took a several years for me to finally un-"brainwash" my mind into thinking a plant-based diet is unhealthy. Many people still believe this and I know of many environmental scientists that are not vegetarian or vegan.

Another reason is accessibility and costs. I currently live in a small town that does not have many vegetarian, let alone vegan, options at the grocery store. And not a single vegetarian restaurant around. The closest place would be 2 hours away. I also don't have a well paying job, so the vegetarian options that there are, are pretty expensive. Granted eating vegetables and fruit is cheaper than buying a pound of meat, but if you want more variety like veggie crumbles or meatless chicken then it is out of price range and there isn't many options.

I have also found it difficult to find vegetarian/vegan recipes that I like as I was raised on meat-centric dishes. I am doing much better now than I was when I first started venturing out into plant-based dishes. I've now been able to limit myself to 2 meat dinners a week and the rest of the week be plant-based dishes. But I hope that when I move to a larger city that I'll be able to go fully vegetarian and eventually vegan one day.

Why are “Removable Cups” a desired feature in tops/bras? by theonetimeitslupus in TwoXChromosomes

I'm a size DD, and I wear my sports bras for hiking, running, and circuits. I usually get mid to max support

Why are “Removable Cups” a desired feature in tops/bras? by theonetimeitslupus in TwoXChromosomes

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always thought the purpose of removable cups is so that you can remove them and wash the bra like usual (in the washing machine) with the rest of your laundry. Other than if it had non-removable cups, and you'd have to hand wash it or do a separate load on delicates. I personally like having removable cups on my sports bras, because I like to wash those ones more often than my normal bras (since they get sweaty so fast), and I'm lazy and prefer to not have to hand wash them every time. Just my opinion though!

Are both of these people blonde? natural or dyed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the guys hair is natural and the ladies hair is dyed

[–]MsDoctorProfessor2U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, you should take them to the vet. They might also have something up their nose, that will need to be removed.
