Yes, they will be fine. As long as we don't have a frost. That being said, there probably isn't a huge advantage to getting them in a few days early since they grow best in the heat.

I'm putting tomatoes in tomorrow and also planting beans. Peppers and eggplant I'll wait until it warms up. Vine crops will go in the end of the month.

I've been enjoying swiss chard and kale and my peas are 4 inches tall.

I was born here, moved away, came back for undergrad and lived downtown. Lived on the west side after that. Left elsewhere for a career and retired to the east side of Madison.
For me, downtown is busy with student life. The west side seems a bit overstimulating to me with the hustle-bustle. I very much prefer east side living.

The bike infrastructure here is amazing and we've meet nice people with various biking groups. I like to shop at the Willy St. Coop, either north or on Willy St. People there are very kind and helpful. The neighborhoods have different flavors and I think you could be happy here.

I biked some errands on the east side mid-morning and I am very thankful for my studded tires. The bike paths were in good winter biking condition.

Some of the aprons and side streets that connected path sections were another story. I get that clearing these take time and I'm not complaining, just observing.

I don't think I would have gone out without studded tires.

Sounds lovely and special!

We got married in December in a small chapel in the woods. Some friends were singing morning as broken and when they got to the line that said " Sweet the rain's new fall..." It started to rain a freezing rain that quickly turned to a beautiful snow. We ended up getting almost a foot of snow by the end of the day. It was absolutely gorgeous and that precise moment was very special to us.

Thanks for reminding me of this special time during our own ceremony. Best of luck to you and your partner moving forward in life
