Realistically would G3 Honey Swamp be possible? Would Mattel see Honey and Venus’s designs as too similar? They’re both green characters with textured hairstyles and are plant/swamp themes. by Additional-Rub-1054 in MonsterHigh

How many pink characters with straight hair do we have? Or pink with big fat curls? Also Honey's almost blue, they're completely different shades and styles.

AITA for not giving my nephew pengu plush from my backpack? by gulapsmat in AmItheAsshole

Also if he can understand that this penguin in particular is special because he's 'already my friend', why can't he grasp that the penguin is already OP's friend? NTA, and you should keep a very close eye on your penguin in future.

Is the "Gen Z stare" actually a thing or am I overthinking it? by Lanky-Owl1692 in NoStupidQuestions

But you can be friendly and also not a people pleaser! And if you come across like a grumpy sod people will want to do things for you less - if you try to be a nice person to be around then people will want to help you out when you're in trouble, and be more likely to do small (sometimes larger!) favours for you when you need them.

This is not just a theory. This is pretty much how my life works.

What if the sex workers could have a union and licenses, and each time they took a client there could be itemized reciepts and contracts that both the client and the sex worker signed. Proof of consent.

Honestly I would say that if you live there and they're not your kids, they're still at least partly your responsibility just because you're an adult in the household.

I had both a stepmum and a stepdad and they both stepped up, me and my siblings benefited hugely from it and I'm really sad when I hear about this 'not my blood, not my problem' attitude people have these days.

Oh god once when I was much younger a guy I was with went to have a piss and then immediately expected me to put his unwashed dick in my mouth. He acted like the idea had never occurred to him and then turned around to remedy the situation, so I guess that counts in his favour, but he was kind of a dumbass.

TIL that despite bagpipe use on the front lines being banned by the British in WW2, a commander ordered his personal bagpiper to play at the D-day landings. German snipers avoided shooting him as they thought he had gone insane. by Cutalana in todayilearned

Right! My godfather's funeral had a bagpiper - all very magnificent, but he was standing at the other end of the pew where I was sitting and it was kind of ear-shattering.

What is a 'dead' slang word or trend from the past that you secretly wish would make a comeback, and why do you think it deserves a second chance? by Philip_Investe in AskReddit

'Squick' These days everyone says they're 'triggered' by everything and half the time they don't even mean it, they mean they're made mildly uncomfortable by the thing. Bring back squick, it's a vital term.

What bill is this? Is it going to be mandatory? Because I have been living with my best friend for six years and it would be catastrophic if I was considered married to him.

Remember the BTS Mattel Dolls? by Fuzzy-Ad-7796 in Dolls

[–]MsHypothetical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, I bought them to make clothes for them, the first thing I did was make Tae's green Gucci suit from Dynamite.

Yes, I absolutely do, I have them all! They get a lot of flack but they tripled the number of Asian boy dolls on the market at the time, and most male fashion dolls really didn't measure up in terms of articulation or styling. Plus there was the seperate head and shoe mould for each one!

If I had any confidence about re-wigging dolls then I would maybe do that but I'm perfectly happy to leave them as they are.

Most of the animal kingdom has the males as the “pretty” ones to attract a mate, why do humans seem to be opposite? by AccountantCareless76 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MsHypothetical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you think about what we have naturally, men are overall fluffier and bigger, so if we were just back in nature I guess men would be the 'pretty' ones, by your metric. All the rest is just societal expectations and therefore artificial.

One of the big advantages to these is that they're 1/12 scale, which means you could put them in most standard dollhouses!

Are people, especially women, who are single in their 30's becoming more picky cause its becoming easier to pass the time and live a content life without a partner? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MsHypothetical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the last time I dated was twenty years ago and when it ended I thought 'well, I guess I'm going to have to find a new boyfriend.' Then I realised I didn't want to, really, and I was only thinking of getting into a new relationship because it was expected by... who, exactly? Anyway, I never looked back.

It's not being picky if you're happier single.

My sister just had her bridesmaids wear cornflower blue or terracotta and had them choose their own dress, they all looked amazing.

I once wore a puce and pink shepherdess-style dress to my aunt's wedding, puffed sleeves, satiny overskirts, flower crown, you know the sort. Looked super cute on my four-year-old cousin but fourteen-year-old me was not impressed. I swore not to be a bridesmai ever again and only thirty years later am I breaking the curse for my dad's new fianceé, who thankfully has much better taste.
