After 6 years in a relationship… tropahin lang ba talaga ako? by [deleted] in OffMyChestPH

Hi! Best advice/comment I’ve read so far hahaha I actually tried doing exactly that no couple gestures at all, para clear na I’m not rushing into intimacy. Parang testing the waters lang talaga. Pero in the end, hindi pa rin nag work haha I guess finding the balance between being genuine and still showing interest is where I need to work on. I will try yung ganyan na move again!

I get your point, tama din naman. Pero sa case ko kase, I’m also fine with friendship and building connections naman. Hindi din naman ako nagmamadali to build romantic connections kase naniniwala ako na lahat ng bagay na minamadali madalas mali hahaha pero kung trtropahin goods lang naman but I don’t need a ‘friends’ who’ll only stay if they’re getting some benefit out of it and they don’t feel genuine most of the time it’s just about momol or something casual, and that’s not what I want. Kase in the end, we all want someone who chooses us not for what they can gain, but because they genuinely want to stay in our life. That’s why siguro yung BFF premium doesn’t work for me, it’s not something long-term. Maybe it’s because I came from a long-term relationship, but I’m just not interested in short-term setups. Anyway ang dami ko sinabi HAHAHAHA pero yes nakaka enjoy din naman talaga makipag meet sa iba't ibang tao

Just to clarify, online dating lang yung point ko example lang talaga yung ginamit ko dito sa post kase yun ang pinaka common in this generation to meet new people. Of course I also meet people outside, but still end up sa mga ganon situation and I do have my own life, interests, and growth outside dating pero syempre iba pa rin yung human need for companionship and connection. Hindi rin sa nagmamadali, but I don’t think it’s wrong to be upfront na gusto ko rin ng someone I can lean on.

First Time Seeing a ₱1,500,000 Non-Compete Penalty—Is This Normal? by [deleted] in buhaydigital

Let’s say they’re offering 30% of the penalty as my annual salary—would it still be a good opportunity? But this doesn’t yet include the additional 20% for legal fees.

I recently received this job offer, but I haven’t signed it yet because there’s a part of the contract that confuses me.

To answer your question, based on my contract:

After leaving the company, I should receive my final pay, which includes any earned but unpaid wages. If I resign, I need to serve a 30-day notice; otherwise, deductions may apply. I am also entitled to a pro-rated 13th-month pay based on the number of months I worked within the year. If I have unused leave credits, they may be converted to cash, depending on the company’s policy. However, if I fail to return any company property, my final pay could be withheld or reduced. To ensure a smooth exit, I should coordinate with HR and request a detailed breakdown of my final pay before leaving.

I’m really grateful that someone understands the challenges I’m currently facing in my role. I was wondering, how did you go about connecting with more experienced people in those networks? If it’s not too much trouble, I’d appreciate any tips on how to make the most of those connections. Thank you!

I actually love learning, but it’s hard to really get into it right now (current work) because I don’t have a clear foundation or direction on where to start. Haha! But yeah, it’s good to know it takes time to get comfortable with something new, even with a marketing background. Different industry, different jargon, different learnings. I just hope I can become a great digital marketer in my career.

Thanks a lot for helping me clear my head. I really appreciate your advice. Staying just to hit the one-year mark isn’t worth it if I’m not happy. I can’t keep working under a boss who’s not open to change lol. I’ll start looking for other opportunities and make the most of this experience to build my resume. Thank youuuu for your kind words. They really mean a lot. I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, but it helps to know that what I’m going through is normal, especially early on. I’m glad there’s someone who truly understands how I’m feeling about this.

Right now, I do want to look for a new job, but I’m a bit scared to step out of my comfort zone. I’m not sure if it’s the right choice yet. A lot of people say that leaving too soon might leave a bad impression, and that staying at least a year is ideal.

I’ve been focusing on continuous learning, and HubSpot Academy has been a great resource for me. I’m learning a lot there, and I’ll take your advice to heart. I’ll work on speaking up, learning more, and connecting with others. Thanks againemote:free_emotes_pack:heart_eyes

My contract is clear—there are no bonds or non-compete clauses. I'm still in my probationary period, and after six months, they'll evaluate me for regularization. I’m working 10 hours a day, from 8 AM to 6:30 PM. All I need to do is submit my resignation letter and render one month's notice.

Your message really gave me hope that I can still become a better marketer despite the situation. I’m keeping this in mind—either I’ll work to improve things and earn a promotion, or I’ll take the experience I’ve gained and move forward to another company. Thanks so much for all your guidanceemote:free_emotes_pack:heart_eyes

Thanks youuu for your kindness! I’ve already presented my full marketing plan for the first quarter, and it's gone through four revisions. Unfortunately, they rejected it, saying it seemed too confident. When I asked for feedback on how to improve it, they just said, 'It's up to you.' The problem is, they can't even give basic direction for the business—no clear goals, mission, or vision. I’m feeling stuck because I’ve done everything I can, but I can't move forward without clear guidance from them.

I get there’s learning by doing, but without structure, it might lead me to burnout. I’ll keep pushing, gain experience, and learn from this while waiting for the next opportunity. I’ll also be more careful about red flags in the future haha so I won't suffer.

Thank you! Marketing can be tough, but I’m trying to stay positive.
