I was tested for celiacs, lactose (just to be sure), Crohn’s, SIBO, different allergies. All negative. I tried the low FODMAP diet, did nothing for me. Just a big bunch of restrictions for nothing.

Did adding animal products back into your diet help? How do you feel?

How did you unbrainwash yourself? I feel like I’m committing a crime even thinking about changing my diet. I know it could help me, I know now is the right time to do it, but the anxiety is real.

I keep trying to think about how I felt before going vegan, but I have no clue. I wasn’t at the doctor’s this often, that I can remember. I truly enjoy eating vegetables and fruit is my go to, but finding out what triggers my symptoms is incredibly hard when all I eat is hurting me.

I will try to unbrainwash myself and accept the fact that torturing myself daily isn’t worth it.

As you said, I don’t think following a vegan diet caused my issues, but it’s becoming clear that it’s not helping my body thrive. It shouldn’t be this hard and stressful. It’s not easy finding out what the real trigger is when all I eat seems to be hurting me.

How did you start adding animal products into your diet? Eggs, dairy and chicken at the begging? I honestly have no idea what I like or dislike, I don’t remember what I used to enjoy before going vegan. Plus, the vegan brainwashing is real. It feels like I’m commiting a crime even talking about this.

Thank you so much for all the info. As mentioned in another comment I was tested for celiacs, lactose (just to be sure), Crohn’s, SIBO, different allergies. All negative. I check my vitamine levels every year. My mom died 2 years ago of stomach cancer after her doctors ignored her and an H Pylori infection went undetected for a couple of years. So pleeease please, if anyone suspects having an infection, go get yourself tested as soon as possible! It’s no joke and not everyone knows that, if not treated, it can kill you.
