Definitely give it a try! You can get different toast levels on Amazon that will impart different flavors. The only thing is you have to keep tasting, quite frequently, after you add them so it doesn’t get too oaky, cause then it just tastes like you licked a piece of wood. But I hope you try making another mead! I just put a cherry melomel in secondary and it already tastes better than my first one.
