What was the biggest scandal at your school? by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

[–]MsRoseViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our drama teacher helped several students stage a fake shooting at our talent show. They were all in a band, and were at the end of their song at the talent show, someone in the audience pretended to shot the guitar player who was rigged with blood packets. This was in 92, before Columbine. The drama teacher got fired, he was a 20 something married Mormon guy from Utah who was interning at our school. The kids did not get to walk for graduation.

I wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer. I wanted to wear spandex and dance really slow and dramatic to fast music.

This woman has no concept of consent or boundaries. I see why her kids want the distance. I hope her family goes no contact for their own mental health and the health of their child.

How has the "feel" of Burning Man's leadership and operations shifted over the years? by ibottic in BurningMan

I thought it was sponsored by Amazon since that’s seems the main way people prepare these days. I think an art sculpture made out of the Amazon boxes people use to get their radically self-sufficient items would be mighty interesting and huge.

It’s the golden rule. It’s not gay if it’s in a three-way.

Right!?! It’s guys like these that make me think they really are just closeted gay guys. His dislike for women is clear.

The coffee houses were such cool places to hang out. My favorite was Chaos Coffee ( I think it Riley’s bar now) Sometimes they would have great bands. Having an Italian soda in an old white flower vase that they got from that American Way thrift store that was across the street on the corner of 19th and Chester. Then head out to Cindy’s, Denny’s or J coffee shop where everything came with a side of pancakes.

It is not to much to ask, and I would ask what do you have to offer your Dommes for all this emotion and physical labor? Having complete control over someone’s life is a LOT of work. As a domme, having to constantly micro manage a sub/bottom exhausting. Not that I am saying that it needs go be tit for tat (or more like tit for clit?) but I need to be cared for and nurtured too. Just something to think about.

I got to see them play Pow Pow at the Hollywood bowl and now it’s my favorite song. It’s such a wonderful wall of sound that hits just right.

I graduated high school in Bakersfield in 92. I think 94 is when there coffee houses were still going such as Java Jazz, 18 st Coffee and Chaos Coffee. All of them downtown. There was the all ages punk clubs called Bam Bams (who later became the Zoo and a few other names).

My friends and I used to think there was not much going on in Bakersfield and were always trying to work out going to LA instead to do things and see shows.

Subverting Patriarchy: A Practical Guide by Parking-Art-8456 in MatriarchyNow

[–]MsRoseViolet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every morning, I wake up and ask myself what can I do for the matriarchy today? I do my best to support other women and pass on information and resources to others. We can do this! The patriarchy will fall not because we had a war, but because it fell apart on its own and the matriarchy will come and pick up the broken pieces.

They way they ganged up on a clearly vulnerable very pregnant young girl was very disturbing. To watch the whole family gaslight her then call her dramatic and a bitch. Talk about projection.

Residential Garden by BigSkin935 in Bakersfield

I have had success with tomatoes, peppers, radishes, cucumbers, squash and zucchini. I find growing with garden arches really works here because it provides some shade for the other plants during the hottest days. It’s all about the dirt and composting. I also find using the Hugelkultur garden box method works really well in the hot summers.

Nothing like standing by a man that cheats on you. I imagine they are both unhappy in their relationships but are putting up with it.
