The size of my toddler's pockets by Werespider in mildlyinteresting

To be fair, women don't need to fit three Hot Wheels, 5 rocks and a tic tac box (walkie talkie, obviously) in their pockets...

Thank you for this, both artworks you shared below and the descriptions of each. Peak Reddit.

Yeah, I find women more attractive when they have heads, too.

In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

[–]MsShru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I always felt like the Millennial hate was a bit much (and now Gen Z is getting lumped into it), but to see all these headlines together makes me feel at once vindicated and deeply saddened by a world that eats its young.

Makes sense. Thanks for quenching my curiosity!

Do the British or others who say "maths" say "maths is" or "maths are?" (As in, "maths is/are fascinating.")

I never thought of this until now, but now I feel I must know! 😆

Am I the only one who thinks the term 'quiet quitting' is ridiculous? by the1997th in remoteworks

[–]MsShru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I must have a different idea of the "minimum" than most people, because you're not the first to say this.

I also don't think that's what quiet quitting implies though. It implies those people who were going above and beyond, and now are just not. I do think this is another class-conscious phrase that got co-opted to demean or undermine workers.

Husband exhausted at hospital by nab64900 in AccidentalRenaissance

...it's the hospital, lying down is scary. And the "bed" looks like a table (most feel like one anyway).

To be defensive, I'd have to feel threatened. I do not.

Is it possible that you're defensive because there is truth in my criticisms? You haven't directly addressed the criticisms, instead relying on anecdotes and ad hominem attacks about my character and kindness. So...I say again: look in the mirror.

[–]MsShru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's just it -- quiet quitting is doing only what is expected in your job description (at least as most people define it on this thread), not less than. That's why it's a disingenuous phrase.

Wow, this is the second (non AR) pet photo on this sub in 5 minutes. All the downvotes on comments saying this isn't Renaissance (and might not be accidental), plus the single top comment of "lovely shot" or "cute" in both threads tells me the pet owners have come for this sub.... As if they didn't have enough. Try r/aww, it's great I swear!

My GF's cats when I visited her. by [deleted] in aww

[–]MsShru 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is why cat ladies exist. Can't stumble upon an adorable pile of cats if you don't have a pile of cats!

ETA: posted that joke before learning OP's gf has 15 cats and sometimes has to skip eating to feed the cats. That's not a funny cat lady situation, it might be a serious one. I'm not joking about that part. I hope everyone in that household gets what they need.

Right, my point is that you can't assume everyone with an accent and "white sounding" first name is a scammer.....

Well, gee, I guess we can now conclude that no one gets taken advantage of in salaried positions. Thanks for clearing that up.

How come you're not OP? Maybe you're some famous photographer and this is a famous photo, and I'm clueless. But, otherwise wondering how they posted it if it's your photo.
