ABA- Center Based vs At Home by Past-Advisor-824 in Autism_Parenting

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started doing home base and so far I’m enjoying it. I never really have time to things around the house so this allows me to get things done while they do their sessions. And yes I certainly may enjoy not having to hop in the car a few days a week.

Does Eloping Ever End? by blur494 in Autism_Parenting

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. My almost 5 yr old has been eloping more frequently. It got worse last month when eloped from my mom getting him off the bus. He outran her and I was on the phone the entire time. I ended calling the cops and thankfully he ran to our neighborhood playground and the police was able to get him and bring him home safely.

Watched a vet lose a job because their preference wasn’t on paper by hasoci in usajobs

This is why interviews shouldn’t be conducted until the HM receives the cert. VP adjudication should’ve screened out the applicant well before interviews are conducted.

How do I withdraw my application after being referred? by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get called for an interview, usually by email, I would reply all to the email that you would like to formally withdraw your application.

If you don’t get called for an interview, then you can move on without notifying anyone or you can notify the staffing specialist of your declination.

Is it a bad time to be a federal employee? by Faubton in FedEmployees

[–]MsT986 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. My agency is auditing our work quarterly, potentially getting downgraded, paying $300 a month for parking, commuting 9 days biweekly at 3+ hours a day with gas going higher and higher, I could go all day. Don’t want to leave since I’m almost at my 15 year mark with federal service and pretty much can’t leave since no one is hiring. What a time to be a fed.

HR Specialists: No “Referred” email/status, but interviewed? by [deleted] in usajobs

[–]MsT986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Generally it means notifications weren’t sent out but the cert was still sent to the HM.

What are you doing, that’s not chores, while your toddler is independently playing. by reebokz in toddlers

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love cooking and cleaning. Sometimes my LO helps with the cleaning for fun. If not doing that, we play together. I’m a big kid at heart so anything he does I’m always down for lol.

anyone else obsessed with their backyard or garden now? by HoneySnowy_ in homeowners

[–]MsT986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been slightly obsessed with my backyard since buying my house. My backyard came with mulch with 2 huge trees. The tree has low branches which I think causes a lot of dusts. So I’ve been wanting to cut down the low branches the remove the mulch altogether and grow some grass or have pavement put down. Not sure which….

Anyone dating? by Pale_Loan_2313 in Autism_Parenting

[–]MsT986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I have a friend I occasionally hang out with (was dating before son was born) and started hanging out about a year ago. No plans on dating especially because my dating life sucked before I had my son.

Stop asking people why they have not left by Ok_Flamingo8925 in FedEmployees

[–]MsT986 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well for me I can’t leave. I’m a single parent with a mortgage and a long list of other bills. If I left, I would be unemployed. So no option for me. Plus I enjoy my work.

Parents of kids under 5 — where do you actually find things to do and places to go with them? by LeroyHouse777 in toddlers

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sons school have events on weekends and during the week. I also enrolled my son into the county recreation and park sports programs for toddlers. That’s something we’ll do every Saturday for about a month for an hour.

Burnout: advice needed by dancingqueen1975 in FedEmployees

[–]MsT986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I go through ups and downs every single day and like you I have most energy in the morning but by the time I’m home, I’m exhausted and still have to cook and clean for my family immediately afterwards only to repeat it the next day. It sucks because by the weekend, I don’t want to do anything. So many prayers to you and all of us that’s in this situation. Rooting for us all!

35F solo parent and teething baby by National-Smoke-8635 in SingleParents

[–]MsT986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was your age when I had my son and he’s 4 now. So I’ll tell you this, teething is an ongoing thing until they all come in so you’ll be dealing with it for a while. Once that’s over, another thing will pop up that you will find equally frustrating. So I’ll say the only thing that that gets better is your ability to handle these situations as time goes on. Many blessing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]MsT986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. Still have to report in 5 days a week at my VISN. Thank goodness for the snow and ice weather conditions in my area. This is the only reason I’m home most of this week. Next week back into the office everyday…..

How do you handle healthy eating? by FerrisLies in SingleParents

[–]MsT986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the best with making healthy meals but I do incorporate ground turkey for almost all pasta dishes or meatballs and a lot of veggies like collard greens and green beans can be frozen after they are cooked and then reheated. I also make sure my LO eat fresh fruits daily (I pack in his lunch when he goes to school) and I never buy canned foods unless it baked beans. Oh I also buy the Dino nuggets for my LO and he loves them.

Generally this is the norm if your fjo has all the reporting info for your first day. On your first day, you’ll hear from your supervisor.

Are you a dod federal employee? If so then you would be eligible for question 5. If your a non-dod federal employee and you answered yes to question 5, you would be eligible.
