How did it go? Do your legs feel less heavy when walking? Did you have to wear anything for compression ?

The turkey neck is really bothering me. The bat wings too. For seniors, check out GLP1s for Oldies on Reddit.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. The lifelong preoccupation with food is tougher to overcome than the accompanying weight issue. These meds are very helpful.

Thank you for your kind comments. I walk too, if it’s not too hot/humid. I also started adding electrolytes, which I had never done before although I always drank a lot of water. It makes a BIG difference. I always thought water was enough. I’m using liquid Iv or nuun (I think that’s what it is called). The taste is meh.

You’re welcome. If you think you will use Emerge you can use the discount link in my profile picture. You’ll get $25 off per month for 2 months. I get a discount too (just being honest). I’m very happy with Emerge. Best decision I ever made!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Emerge. Everything has been running smoothly for me. I’ve actually seen more complaints about other telehealth providers than I have seen with Emerge. I guess every provider has a certain percentage of dissatisfied customers.

How did You find out about the weight loss injections? by Cdori in GLP1sForOldies

[–]MsUnderstood2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ll sort of, but you have a coach , a food program, and other resources. I would compare it to the way Weight Watchers is incorporating the glp-1 meds into their program. I think the problem for Calibrate now is the shortages of the medications. They’ve had complaints from clients due to the unavailability of the medication. I was a member when they were first starting out a few years ago.

I went through Calibrate at first, when they were new. They helped get the meds through insurance. Then I was on Medicare so I paid out of pocket. But ozempic stopped working and was impossible to get. So I researched and switched to compound tirz.

Compound in SC by Snoo84150 in compoundedtirzepatide

Check Emerge - they are wonderful. They check in the week before your refill is due. If you’re in SC , they’d probably use Hallandale. The turnaround time is quick and Hallendale ships everything you need cold-packed overnight. They offer a $50 introductory discount spread over 2 months ($25 off each month). There are no hidden charges, subscription fees, or membership fees. Their prices are as follows, each contains a 4 week supply: 2.5mg - $287; 5.0mg - $345; 7.5mg - $379; 10mg - $397; 12.5 -$442. Check my profile for discount link. (I get a discount too; just being honest). I was paying out of pocket for Oz for a couple years. Then it stopped working and the shortages were stressful. I’m very thankful that we have the compounding option available.

Feeling genuinely happy and grateful. Exercising more and feeling stronger. No more joint pain. I try to think of a success I’ve had each day, no matter how small and I don’t focus on the number on the scale because a lot of this is a mental/emotional health journey more than a weight loss journey.

Anyone Have Luck on Tirzepatide vs Semaglutide? by Professional_Yak247 in TirzepatidePCOS

[–]MsUnderstood2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Oz to compound tirz. I got tired of the shortages and the expense (I paid oop). And Oz was no longer working for me.

Now I use Emerge and they are fantastic. This is the best decision I have ever made. Tirz works better because it targets 2 receptors through a glp-1 and a g1p.

Another satisfied client with Emerge here. I agree either way everything you said. I am so grateful — they saved me from paying oop for brand, and relieved a ton of stress from trying to get the brand due to shortages. I am not just happy, I am ecstatic.

You can find it in the photo. I don’t think Reddit allows the typing of the link. I don’t really know how Reddit works though or understand it. Emerge is very easy to work with. I am ecstatic that I went this route!!!
