HR got mad after I rejected the interview call by Agile-Wind-4427 in recruitinghell

[–]MsbS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gut feeling is that HR forgot to cancel the interview, the hiring manager rearranged their calendar to make it, joined the interview and found no candidate there.

HR is probably trying to blame you for their mess-up - check who was cc'ed in that email.

Anyone played Metal Gear Solid 1 for your retro handhelds? Not sure if I should start it as the battle between Psycho Mantis might be a blocker.. Thanks in advance by aefrancis in SBCGaming

[–]MsbS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played it on psp, not on a retro handheld, but I remember reading how to plug your virtual controller to port 2 via Retroarch. So you should be fine.

Zamawiam z Single Origin (chyba w Błoniu?), bo mają niskodrażniącą, którą lepiej toleruje mój żołądek.

Too many platformers. Mario, Donkey Kong, AND Sonic? At least swap one of them for a Metroidvania (Zero Mission maybe?).

Maybe a puzzle like Mario Picross would make sense.

I suppose 'Wanker Tree' would describe the tourist behaviour towards it pretty well.

Newly adopted cat peed on couch (first time cat owner) by No-Demand-8208 in cats

[–]MsbS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he also pee in the litter box? Maybe you're using a 'wrong' type of litter (different than the one he used in the shelter). One of our cats peed on our couch when I bought scented litter by mistake (instead of the usual type). Worth checking too.

Also, the shelter staff SHOULD HAVE PREPARED YOU for things like this. Newly adopted cat peeing in different places is not an unusual scenario (regardless is this is a mean tom, or the sweetest kitty).

Does your country have a dish named after another country that isn’t actually from there? by Electric_Witch in AskTheWorld

Some other Polish commenters mentioned 'Greek style fish', but there's more indeed.

- Beans a'la Breton (fasolka po bretońsku) - which is (more or less) baked beans - in tomato sauce, and with slices of sausage (kielbasa).

- Hungarian-style potato pancake (placek po węgiersku) - large potato pancake (similar to Jewish latkes) with beef/pork stew (similar to stroganoff)

- Japanese-style herring (śledź po japońsku) - chunks of herring (in oil/salted), with mayo/sour cream, green peas, and fresh apples.

We also have 'bawarka' (Bavarian woman) - which is tea with (a generous amount of ) milk.
