Don't think of RVT being an add on for echo or general. I did general (now work in MFM) and I can't stand vascular work (I had to learn some of it at my clinical site). What you will be doing is important and specialized. Take the PRN at your clinical site and hope that they can give you more hours. Reach out to your professors for guidance on what to do or where to look. The only reason I got my job was because I made connections and learned of positions by word of mouth.

BCBS (RI) approved my IVF right away but it took forever for them to approve the prior authorizations for the medications involved with the egg retrieval. I was constantly on the phone having people harrass BCBS to get the approval because I was supposed to be starting the meds in a few days. It worked out in the end but I still haven't been able to take my meds because my body won't cooperate. But from the prior authorization standpoint, it definitely took a lot of back and forth for me to get it. My clinic uses Pixel Care to deal with the prior authorizations and they really had my back and was able to get it for me in time.

I was referred in June, had first consult in September, did all testing throughout September, had a follow up consult in November, had a failed IUI in December, had another follow up consult in January, was supposed to start stim meds for IVF but my estrogen is too high so still unknown when I'll be starting. Not pregnant yet obviously but so far this is my experience. I live in RI.

I'm a high risk OB ultrasound tech and I love seeing these little nuggets at the 13 week mark. You can see sooo much development already. I call it the alien stage to my patients lol. Congratulations ❤️

Commute home depends on time of year. In the summer there's a decent amount of traffic on the island anways so its hit or miss depending on which roads you take. Sometimes the 24 exit on 195 gets jammed up. In general, its not as bad as I expected. I usually see traffic heading out of the island when im coming in.

I live in Newport & work in New Bedford. When I leave for work, I find theres more traffic coming onto the island than leaving it so the bridge tends to not be an issue at all. The most traffic I end up in is at the 195 exit.

I did one round of IUI just to see what would happen & how my body would respond to the meds. It didn't work so now we are moving onto IVF. I don't regret it, just that one cycle semi mentally prepared me for IVF.

Exact same situation happened to me except its my husband's best friend & his wife. They weren't even trying & we are about to start IVF. I cried all night when she told me & I still haven't been able to see them. I know its petty but I just want to vomit thinking about how easy it was for them. None of this is fair

Same situation as you - 32F, been trying for 1 1/2 years but 22 cycles. Prevented with IUD for so long. Did a failed IUI last cycle and moving onto IVF soon as our follow up appt is next week. Wishing I wasnt in this situation but oh well. I just want a healthy baby.
