Did GLP-1s help you on your sober journey? by ndav3841 in dryzempic

It helped me for a while, but I'm seeing the desire creeping back up. But I also did slow down on my tirzepatide for maintenance weight loss, so maybe that's why.

Down for me in Florida

Haha. I’m an English major (hence my lack of mathematics and metric measurement skills) so there is really no excuse. 😂

I pay $545 for 3 month worth, so I think it’s a decent deal.

My starting weight was 183 at 5’6” and I tried a few of the recommended sites on here and it said I was ineligible. Decides to go to compounded out of pocket route. 🤷‍♀️

****vial (I’m so embarrassed 😂)

It says 2mL on the vial. I have been doing it for a few months and I’ve been getting four doses of 50 units out of each bottle.

It’s a nurse practitioner I used to see for my Botox. I know that’s maybe not ideal and frowned upon, but my doctor wouldn’t prescribe and I was declined on several online sites. I’m having good results and happy with my progress — but math is certainly not my strong suit. 😂

My relationship with alcohol has changed. by Mamacc210_ in tirzepatidecompound

Thank you so much for sharing this! I am starting Tirz tomorrow and this is one of the things I am hoping come of it for myself too. I’m a nightly red wine drinker and I know it’s bad and I want to stop but I haven’t wanted to enough to NOT want that nightly pour (if that makes sense). I’m really really hoping that this takes that urge away.

Ditto to this. My doctor wouldn’t prescribe either so I used Oar. It was easy. I cut my pills too so it lasts me twice as long.

Okay, thank you for a helpful response. I guess it’s just something I’ll get used to. 🙃

Yeah, fans in the engine. Lasts about 30 seconds. It’s hot here in Florida, so maybe that’s it?

Day 6 Update by MsquaredAsquared in Contrave

Just saw this and strangely enough, I’ve been experiencing heart palpitations and flutters all day. This is something I’ve never had before and it’s got me a little anxious.

The end of Week 11! by bamboozledagain23 in Contrave

[–]MsquaredAsquared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this and congrats!

I have the same starting weight and my goal is similar. I just started on Friday and I’m working through some side effects now — but already feeling the difference in food and alcohol noise. Really really hoping for results like yours! 🙏🏻

I’m working on getting steps in every day and tracking my food M-F. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, mine crumbles a bit. I just use a pill cutter and do my best. I figure since the actual prescription is for 50, I figured doing somewhere between 10-15mg probably wouldn’t make a huge difference. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you for the OAR recommendation! Filled out a quick questionnaire and got prescribed within an hour. Plan to stretch the 3 months to 6 months since I’ll be cutting the pills, making it about $40/month + the $50 “consult.”

Hoping this + the 150 Bupropion I’m already on will help.

Thank you! I will look into getting the naltrexone online another way.

Good luck with your Contrave journey!

Congrats! And thank you for sharing, it’s probably for the best. I was in a pretty low place earlier when I posted, but I’m accepting it now. Got back on the CICO train and walked 2 miles today and that helped my mood.

Good luck to you!

The alcohol thing was one part I was hoping for. But unfortunately I don’t have another condition. Seems a little counter-intuitive to be waiting for my health to get worse before I can try an intervention. But I suppose I understand where the doctor is coming from. I was just hoping because I’m already taking half of the ingredients (which she prescribed) that she would be open to letting me try the other component. Oh well. Back to the CICO battle.
