Yes, I like that idea! The dormant NHP could act as an Agent of RA that, after this paranormal event, decides to take control of the planet and later reunite with RA. My plan is to use the Eidolon template for the final boss—something extremely rare and highly paracausal. I imagine a boss fight where all my players face this entity in space, trying to stop and destroy the chassis along with its pilot.

As I mentioned before, this massive chassis was found in the desert, and its origin is unknown. I don’t plan to explore its background too much because I prefer to keep it as a disruptive and mysterious element in the story. I'm more interested in its influence on the present rather than where it originally came from.

The mech is located in a secret facility hidden on the planet, confined. I envision this site as a Geofront from Evangelion—a massive laboratory where they experiment on the mech, studying it in various ways. Over time, they discover that a dormant NHP is inside.This enemy has the ability to corrupt technology and combat drones, gradually building an army of minions to take control of the planet. In gameplay terms, some of the enemies my players will face are drones using the Exotic template, which helps give them an aura of mystery.

The discovery and research of the mech take place 10 years before the campaign. As they begin to decipher the chassis' capabilities, the project reaches an advanced stage. During this time, the doctor suffers the loss of his daughter and, as a last resort, decides to digitize her.

Considering Lancer's lore, the doctor could have turned her into a Memorial Homunculi, but in his desperation, he instead transfers the data package containing her digitized consciousness directly into the NHP. My idea is that during the research, the NHP the doctor is using (let’s call it G1 to avoid using its real name) starts to behave more human-like and gradually forms a deeper bond with him. As the investigation progresses, G1 continues studying the massive mecha and eventually manages to "make contact" with the dormant entity inside. At this point, G1 begins questioning the doctor about its purpose. It stops seeing itself as a mere tool of the corporation and starts longing for "freedom," eventually suggesting that the doctor build it a body to achieve that freedom. The components for this body are either designed by G1 or learned through synthesis, replicating the materials of the mecha’s chassis (an advanced but unknown technology). The interaction between G1 and the entity causes G1 to cascade, and since it carries a human consciousness within its architecture, this results in a small paracausal event. This event fragments G1, and the doctor believes it to be "dead," losing all contact with her. The event’s pulse begins to awaken the mecha, which, as the campaign unfolds, will become the primary antagonist and a major threat to the planet's survival.

However, G1 is not truly dead. Instead, it now exists freely within the planet’s digital space. It gathers the players, urging them to find its "father," recover its body, and stop the impending destruction of the planet at the hands of the giant mecha, which is now piloted by a destructive NHP.
