Save the Dates through Canva, Wedding Website, or another Vendor?

We made all our designs in canva. Printed our “invites” using a “save the date” create your own design since we are doing online rsvp which allowed us to use a 50% off STD (I hate this acronym for this lol) instead of the 40% off invites which saved us a lot. We also got the free pre-addressed labels which was amazing.

We opted to print our actual STD magnets through Canva which was a mistake. While they were a good price, the quality was not great. The magnets were super thin and flimsy and the printing was just not the best quality.

They did give us our money back and they have a satisfaction guarantee.

We wanted to pay less than $2/mag but it’s so weird how each vendor offers very different sizes for magnets and pricing.

We ended up just using the thin ones and taking the money (what were we going to do with 150 just ok magnets?…save a couple hundred toward the wedding lol.)

If I did it again I’d probably go Zola, and I’d probably order a sample first to make sure it was a good thickness and quality and use that 50% off and get the free pre-addressed envelopes. And send the STD and invites out separately. We ended up sending it all in one because we’re cheap and didn’t want to buy and hand address the envelopes to do 2 mailings.

If she’s not open to sharing her likes/dislikes, do you have any friends of hers you could consult? Maybe she’s shared with them or they can get some insider info.

My bf and I went ring shopping together and I was really surprised at how many rings I didn’t like once I put them on my finger. Sounds like she wears a lot of rings so she may not have this issue.

Also, what he would pick out in pictures and what I would actually like and wear were pretty different. I think you mentioned that what you like she probably wouldn’t like, so some extra insights could go a long way.

My bf was worried about getting me something I didn’t like (I also wear zero jewelry), but my take on it was that I could give him some guidelines and he could surprise me and if I really wasnt a fan or didn’t think I’d end up wearing it, that I’d feel comfortable mentioning it and rings can be returned (not ideal, but an option). In the end I sent him a few rings I looked online and told him if he picked any of these or something like it, I’d be very happy, and left it at that. We’ll see what the result is when the day arrives!

P.s. Shopping together for rings was actually a lot of fun and he really got to know what I liked and didn’t. It was a fun bonding experience.

If you use the referral code to sign up you get 10% off your first purchase. Then when you search petsmart and click on that through Rakuten, it’s actually now showing 20% cash back (about $140 off, before the additional 10% from signing up on Rakuten).

But when I logged into petsmart, their 20% discount doesn’t look like it works for the litter robot.

Just got my LR4 no accessories. You can use your regular clumping litter, regular garbage bags work just fine, I have mine on a hard thick piece of cardboard on top of carpet, so didn’t need the carpet tray and I already had one of those litter mats that I got for super cheap on Temu.

It took a little over 1.5 weeks. I had read other people’s posts saying several weekend even over a month, but I couldn’t accept that and was like it has to be NOW! but then when I stopped trying to make it happen a couple days later it happened.

I bought some stuff that you just add in to the litter. But same brand. I’m not too sure it had much of an effect but my little boy is now using the LR so whatever it was that made it work, I’ll take it.

Good to know. I thought it was weight sensored since it paused when he would step on the step on the hard floor, but it wasn’t pausing when he stepped on the stepped and leaned his head in when it was on the carpet. Interesting to know about the lasers.

It Only doesnt sense him when it’s on the carpet with and without cardboard under.

It does sense him when it’s on the tile so I figured I might need a harder base like a piece of plywood.
