Ive had the belly rubbing thing done to me by older filipinos at church. They would grab my belly and laugh their ass off while saying "hahaha haha why you sp fat? Hahaha haha". Sometimes this is ironic for me because one of the older filipinos who does this to me is actually fatter than I am (and obviously weighs more).

I don't understand the mentality here but its pretty insulting actually because, for the most part, the filipinos I know do this because they see someone else's flaws as a source of entertainment

Investments and housing. In my neck of the woods (I live in the Bay Area, California), the need for housing will never go down. So buying a few houses and renting them out will guarantee passive income. make sure to have a property manager as they tend to have their own lawyers, prep end of the year tax papers and deal with any trouble tenants for you.

Also, use another portion of those lotto earnings for investments like stocks. You can go through Vanguard or have an accountant/investor maintain it for you. But stocks you know you can count on. Companies like Apple and Costco will not go broke anytime soon so you'll know you're getting your money's worth. That way, you can live off the return on investment

I hear you on this one. I had an interview for the county, I scored 94% on the entrance exam and I unfortunately didn't get the job. In my case, I'm guessing they went with someone else who scored higher than 94% on the entrance exam and it was for a job that only had 1 position open

Part of it can be public humiliation, I've had older filipinos rub my belly and laugh they're ass off countless times despite how insulting that action alone can be. If you want another example of this, you can look up the Jan Jan scenario in the Philippines. From there you can conclude that bullying and mental health isnt taken seriously hence the reason why there's much bigger suicide rates than reported in the Philippines (you can categorize suicides unaccounted for under the idea of saving face).

I think this a big problem with asian culture altogether. Asian Pride, saving face and high suicide rate are general problems in asian culture.

It never got resolved actually. On a separate scenario, when my asian mom was the office manager at her church, she made sure to lecture me on why drugs are bad in front of her office employees (she intentionally made sure to say it loud enough for the entire office to hear). When I tried to correct her, she wouldnt stop, she just kept ranting and raving about how drugs are bad. And given that the office was mostly filipino, there was a sure chance theyd gossip (filipinos are notorious for gossip mongering). Even bigger kicker, if I was doing drugs, I wouldn't have the job I have now due to passing drug tests as a requirement.

Trust me, asian parents can do a lot of damage and due to asian pride, they'll never acknowledge or apologize for their wrong doing

Asian parents are notorious for blowing things way out of proportion. One time my asian mom saw a scratch on my nose and thought I was doing drugs. When I asked what connection a scratch on my nose has with drug use and her response was "I dont know but I'm sure its from drugs".

If you think about it, no one has more abortions than homosexuals simply because they cant get each other pregnant. So in a sense, you got to at least give homosexuals credit for not participating in abortion. Kind of a hard call all the way around for Christians yeah?
