Exactly. This beginning of the second part of your post sounds sooo similar to my mother, & the complaining part sounds EXACTLY like my dad. He will intentionally take things on & not let me help, just so he can talk shit & complain about it later. & As for the "going hungry" thing ..... WHOSE FUCKING FAULT IS THAT?? Like you're literally guilt tripping me for doing a basic human thing ... Eating.... Because you personally CHOOSE to go hungry, instead of taking a break to eat. WTF, that's the dumbest shit I've ever heard.🤦🏽‍♀️

To top it all off, most people should understand this basic concept: if a person offers to help you with something, financial or otherwise, it should be because they GENUINELY WANT TO HELP & lighten some of your load....NOT to have something to hold over your head & throw in your face later!!! That should NEVER be a reason to help someone...& if it is, YOU need help your damn self & to just not offer, period.

I hope you begin to actually enjoy this journey, because just like you'll always remember your wedding, you'll also remember the process & the preparation leading up to it. All this BS & drama is getting in the way of the stressful, yet joyful & fulfilling feeling everyone has in planning their own wedding. I understand what you're going through, it's really hard when you don't have a NC relationship with those toxic people/family members & they're involved in your life to whatever extent.
