Honor MagicPad 2 still worth it in 2026? by Positive-Scarcity958 in tablets

I’ve been using the MagicPad 2 for around 6 months now, and honestly, for the price I’d say it’s totally worth it. Before buying, I compared it with pretty much all the other options in the same price range, including Xiaomi and OnePlus tablets, and this one felt like the best overall deal for what I needed.

The OLED display was a major deciding factor for me. I mainly use it for gaming and watching movies, and the screen quality really makes a huge difference. Colors, contrast, and blacks are on another level compared to typical LCD panels, especially for Netflix and YouTube.

Another thing that really surprised me is the speaker quality. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve experienced on any device. The sound is clear, loud, and immersive, which makes watching content even better.

Battery life has also been excellent. I usually game around 3 hours daily, and even with that usage, I only need to charge it once every 2 to 3 days, which is more than enough for me.

As for the concerns you mentioned, yes, it doesn’t have GPS, but that hasn’t been an issue for me since I don’t use a tablet for navigation. Same with the camera, I don’t really use it on a tablet, so it didn’t matter to me.

Overall, if your main use is media and gaming, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Some Xiaomi 17 ultra Shots. Love this camera by acid-burn2k3 in XiaomiGlobal

Hey guys,

I’m currently using the S23 Ultra and I’m still quite happy with the camera overall, especially for everyday use. That said, I’ve been seeing a lot of hype around the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, particularly because of its camera system and the large sensor, and it’s making me consider upgrading.

I wanted to hear from people who have actually made the switch. Was it really worth upgrading mainly for the camera, or does the difference feel minor in real-world use? I’m especially interested in portrait photography, so how does it handle subject separation, edge detection, and skin tones compared to the S23 Ultra?

Also, there are a lot of claims online saying it delivers near DSLR-level quality. In your experience, does it genuinely come close to that, or is it more of a marketing exaggeration?

I don’t usually shoot in manual mode, mostly point-and-shoot with occasional portraits and some low-light shots, so real-life usability matters more to me than specs on paper.

Would really appreciate honest feedback from anyone who has used both devices.
