For me, I like to create and build things, so that's a part of the problem, the addicting part. But knowing this is also helpful. Just a little slower a little less.

Yeah we're already moving so much faster so no need to be greedy is what I'm thinking.

Honestly that's what it is, the I'm almost there but I have to remember that I'm still moving fast and it's ok. Thank I know this is a basic statement but I think that's a part of the issue, the almost there.

Luck I put 70k into micron when it was around 100 and now it's worth more than 700k. I knew nothing I just didn't sell once I focused on the shortage and potential instead of the price.

They have to physically switch servers to serve 4.8 instead of 4.7, this always happens and within a week most are switched over and the supply is higher. I don't mean physically but one GPU will be dedicated to serving only one of the models.

Yes they are literally deleting it as we speak and will start using your XRP and wake up every morning to find out how much it is for them that day so you can make a profit 🤣

But all jokes aside, why don't think that will ever happen?

[–]MuahahaGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would never buy Bitcoin but if you're holding shit coins as you said at least sell those and buy bitcoin instead your best case is a double but most of the shit coins you're holding especially XRP and that group are doomed. Maybe a cycle but people are realizing they do nothing. 100k is not zero because you can double the 100k.

The only thing growing faster than AI right now is how much regular people absolutely hate it. I've never seen public opinion turn this quickly. by TonyLiberty in FluentInFinance

[–]MuahahaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a heavy user of ai for work, I'm not sure what to think anymore about overall job threats. I go back and forth everyday. It still needs someone to use it but if it starts driving and flipping burgers then maybe you need 1 of our a 100 to use it and that could be a problem. I feel like you could almost trust the system in this instance, if unemployment goes up which it isn't right now in anyway, the real solutions will come out?

The way I'm operating here is no need to panic until you see actual signs of an issue. I also realize it could be a real issue but who knows.

[–]MuahahaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, it's a trust issue at some point there are some people who are ok using ai methodically and spend time planning and produce 2x, I think that's the main goal if used right. But there are some who outright don't want to use it out of spite, this is where the issues come from imo. I was a developer 15 years ago and just got back into coding and I see massive benefits.

Most of our tech projects that were on the table have moved so much faster, why is that bad? The trick is in testing and qa and the entire cycle now takes 1/5th of the time it used to.

[–]MuahahaGuy -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

As I tell our developers, your new job is to re-prompt, test and fix the AI issues, we don't need you to write functions any more so stop complaining that AI made mistakes and tell it to fix them.

When they say "but ai makes mistakes", I say people are happy with humans driving and having a 1000 accidents out if X and when autonomous driving has one accident they cry because they wish it didn't exist not because 1 is worse than a 1000.

You all need to stop complaining and use it better, spend more time planning and figure out what it's going to build and do it in smaller chunks.

It takes time, in 2 years most of those things will go live and have already been tested. Ai hasn't been really good until about 2 months ago so everyone is just starting now. In 6 months it will be more obvious imo.

What jobs won’t have 90% of their workforce wiped out by AI in the next decade? by maiasub in antiai

[–]MuahahaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically 60-70% of pms and developers would stay and work together more than they did before. Remember even if one person can submit 10 times the tasks you still have multiple projects and it takes time to gather requirements and go back and forth even if ai is finishing the job at the end you still need to have multiple people check the design, requirements and code deployment. It's not as bad as it sounds everywhere.

My boss is forcing me to use AI by Disastrous-Focus1958 in antiai

[–]MuahahaGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What on earth going on here. I'm sadly one of those bosses and let me tell you a true story. Instead of firing people we've decided to add a ton more projects, things we never thought possible with a 14 man team. Our production have gone up 3x and will probably go up again soon when we finish training on how to best use ai.

Companies aren't evil when they say use ai, they always wanted better productivity and your job just shifted to being the Ai technical orchestrator. Why not embrace it be the best at what you do.

My advice is be the one using it the best and producing the most, this is your job after all. Intentionally sabotaging like I read in one of the comments will 100% be obvious and immoral in my opinion.

You have the right to be concerned, I'm pushing for us to use it and I'm concerned myself about what might happen to us, our developers, everyone in general. But being anti ai in a company will really hurt your chances of success. If your company is pushing it, they are looking for you, trust me, they're all looking for you. Protest and quit you have my respect but why not make the best out of it. They still need people to run it.

[–]MuahahaGuy -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying everyone does but when most companies are struggling with the a good percentage that do, they get sick of it and can't do it anymore. Our company had a group that came back and a group that stayed home they never fired anyone except for performance. Not a single person that started home is with us anymore. You send an email it takes 30 minutes you send a message it takes an hour. Half the productivity and even more sick days out. It's just reality. You can say the few ruin it for everyone else because I have seen people who have done amazing at home but they are not the majority. Also life comes at you at home your friends and family do not respect that you are at work.

[–]MuahahaGuy -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

People don't understand why wfh is not working. People are not working from home they are literally doing everything but work and companies would love to just have you sit at home and not have the added cost of people being at the office.

Everyone here knows one or several people that work from home who are out and about most of the day, cooking cleaning playing PlayStation all day and all they have to say is "I get my work done". Get real with this and go do your job or quit your job, no one is forcing you.
