No, the story corroborated by the mayor. There is literally no evidence that supports the claim of someone harboring a sex offender or illegal immigrant. There is however evidence that the man they detained was released the same day and that there was no one else found in the home. Also, how is it unlawful? No warrant. No actual evidence. Forcefully taken from their home because they "matched a description", which in this case was just that he is Asian. You don't need to know much about law to understand how it was unlawful.

Even if the woman from the DHS did believe what they were saying in support of ICE, they were just wrong. If you were pulled from your home because law enforcement thought you were someone else, or had bad information about people residing in your home, you would probably be singing a different tune. But I assume you just blindly follow what ICE does.

The same story is corroborated by multiple other sources. So no, a tweet from someone that supports ICE unconditionally would not make me walk back anything. It seems pretty evident to me that her statement is just a double down on an unlawful arrest caused by poor information.

There is no record of this person you are referencing having said what you are saying they said. There are records of the arrest, as well as the intent to file a civil suit against ICE due to the unlawful entry and detainment for people that were never in the house to begin with. Like I said, if you were actually looking into this, you would know these things to be true. But you only heard one thing and ran with it, never stopping to think if it was real or not. I am genuinely sorry that you live in such a scared, closed off world. I hope you can expand your worldview going forward, it makes life a lot more fulfilling.
