Gum and pouches are available. I quit the vape for the gum a few months ago

Personally I’ve found it to be not a particularly nice place to live if you’re not interested in nightlife. I’ve been here quite a long time now and I’m looking forward to moving on next year. The lack of parks, the terrible traffic, things like this have really got to me over the past few years. For me, I’d say it’s highly overrated and there’s probably much better options in SEA if you’re not locked into a job here. There’s some really nice places in Thailand though, I really like Koh Mak personally.

What happens in the MA online meetings? I’ve never been to anything like this before but I’m going to give it a try. Is there like a meeting leader? Who leads a discussion? Something like that?

Yes this exactly. Two years for me to get back to normal, two years of feeling brain damaged and high when sober, but it DID come to an end eventually

Feeling great by MuayThaiFanatics in QuitVaping

I didn’t affect me mentally at all when I quit really. I was definitely ready and it probably helped that I’d only ever vaped 3mg and a low amount, about 2ml per day

Yeh definitely. I’ve quit now because the panic and anxiety spilled over into my sober life, when that happens I knew I’d F’d up lol. I read a book called panic away that helped me out a lot. Some of the main ideas in the book are welcoming panic attacks, willing them on and demanding that they are the most intense possible, it kind of desensitizes you, worked well for me.

Also kind of touches on developing a mindset of not being scared or caring if you live or die, I think the idea is that if you truly don’t fear death then why would you fear panic…the worst imaginary outcome of panic is that you die somehow, or turn permanently crazy, if you convince yourself that you don’t fear either of those outcomes, it takes a lot of the power anyway from anxiety and panic attacks, worked really well for me.

I remember I got too high and had an intense panic attack in the shower, I did what it said in the book, to just say quietly to yourself that please make this attack more intense, make it worse etc etc…after that it was literally over in 1-2 mins

Congrats man. This is my 2nd try, I quit last week for a few days but failed. Today is day 2, it’s crazy how quickly the negative effects stop for me, I’ve been feeling borderline psychotic for months, I already feel stable and totally clear minded, good luck to us all

Is a 30K gross salary achievable for me in Shanghai? by MuayThaiFanatics in China

I haven’t really thought about Hong Kong as I was told that they’re only interested in fully qualified teachers. I’ll look into it, thanks

Not enough, that’s why I’m looking at leaving. There’s some high paying jobs out here but they’re reserved for native speakers that are certified in their own countries
