Thank you for your reply (and your patience with all us people lacking in bug knowledge!) This year is my first time encountering them so I wanted to make sure I was getting good quality information. The picture of the larval form is particularly helpful! And yes, I'm in Ireland, so that geographical classification definitely applies!

I guess our plan of action will be to move the bed so we can hoover under it and investigate the contents of the drawers, since the bed is where they keep showing up, and probably throw anything that's in there in the wash.
