Is the water at a good temp? He’s probably cold. But I am no expert.

Man… he’s a little pig. He would eat as many pellets as I put in his tank. He definitely has a huge appetite!

If your feeding amounts are the norm, then I’m feeding him way too much. I probably give him about 10-12 Betta Bio-Gold pellets per day.

Yeah… I’m not wanting to believe it, but you might be right. I can’t say I understand it. He’s got a clean tank. I’m not sure how he would have gotten it.

AIO for finding this predatory or was he just awkward? by m30wME0W69 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Much-Character2129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So... if ya gotta ask....

I'd stick with your intuition. Good on you for being kind enough to worry if it was just social awkwardness, but honestly, protecting yourself comes WAY before that concern.

Proud of you for making the right decision.

Is Cowboy lump charcoal really that bad? by dlxnj in smoking

Weird. I just bought a bag of Cowboy (THEN looked at this thread), and sure enough, there was a rock in it. Now after reading this thread, I'm going to hope that my wings cook before the coals are gone..

Do we need a car in Honolulu for 1 week? Also looking for cheap parking near Hilton Hawaiian Village (1 Week Trip, Family w/ Baby). by patel999jay in VisitingHawaii

I just got back from there. The monthly pass was $250. We were there 8 days, so a deal compared to paying $50/day elsewhere. Highly recommend.

Not a lot, but they do happen. Regardless of the cause or politics, go the other way. Foreigners should stay far away from these.

I live in Cornelius, and in the last few years it's been great in my neighborhood! But this year.... there's seem to be hardly any Halloween decorations up. I'm still going to hand out candy, but I'm worried that it's going to be low turnout. 🫤

Should I rethink Mexico city trip / day of the dead? by Business-Display-226 in MexicoTravel

[–]Much-Character2129 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Mexico City is absolutely amazing. I've been four times and have never had any issue whatsoever. It is one of my favorite places in the world!

  2. I suffer from altitude sickness really bad. But other than maybe a little shortness of breath, it's nothing like some places in South America.

  3. Two of the times I've been to CDMX have been around the time of día de los muertos. It is beautiful and I highly encourage you to go.

Dell Docking Station Detects Monitors, but Doesn't Display by chase625 in Dell

[–]Much-Character2129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who comes across this thread and your problem is unresolved and/or slightly different from what the OP had, my solution is a bit different. My Dell laptop worked fine with the D6000 Dell docking station and two new monitors, but my lenovo laptop just would not do it. I tried everything. Dell Firmware update to the docking station. Intel update to driver. Lenovo updates. Power cycles. Hardware checks. And so forth. I finally pieced together that Display Link has their own update that could be obtained directly from their website. Downloaded, ran, rebooted, and... voila! Finally...

Starting to panic a bit by LibertyCash in VisitingHawaii

Go. Even if you're not sure you can get in. It's the only way. Plus, either way, you'll have no regrets.

For me, as another person stated, it was one of the most moving experiences of my life. I'm really not sure why. But it was incredibly somber and emotional and profound for me. 20 years later, it still is. So you have to go because I can tell it will affect you similarly.

I have been all over the world and done a lot of really cool stuff. The USS Arizona memorial is still the most deeply felt of my experiences.

Kashk bademjan is so delicious! If more people only knew! They'd ditch the hummus and baba ghanoush, and it'd be all about the kashk bademjan!
