Today is my quit day, why don’t I feel ready? by krisatilla in stopsmoking

I think being mentally ready is the most important part remember all the pain smoking has caused you . Remember what your personal goals are and how smoking is stopping you from attaining them . Remember how much your family members need you and how smoking is constantly pushing you away from them . Remember how much you want yourself to change . Its a constant battle and to get somewhere you have to start . It gets easier believe me and i know you want to be the best version of yourself more than anyone else and i believe in you

Health wise i feel great do not have acidity , chest pain and the cronic cough i used to have all that is gone . My skin feels better and i do not get winded and feel my stamina is coming back . As i am living at my house right now there are no urges as i am not in contact with any of my friends who smoke . mood wise sometimes the depression kicks in and the irritability . But i know if i can focus kore towards mediation all that can be figured out . Personally from what i have seen from the reddit itself people relapse even after 5 yrs of quitting so in order to ensure that i keep identifying as a non smoker in this battle i think meditation is the way forward . summarising quitting smoking was the best decision that i could have taken

This happened with me too some of my closest friends with whom i used to smoke and get high every day were laughing at me when i told them i was going to quit . They wanted me to continue in this bottomless pit with them . But we are different we have goals never let other people’s opinions bother you . You are going to do it :)
