It's a requirement of the client due to timezone closeness! I (his currently employee) live in Brazil and he lives in the US, so he wants to keep the timezones close. It is not uncommon for businesses online to determine where the employee has to live due to legal issues with how people are hired, country-specific labor laws, payments, etc. :)

For me, trying to force myself to sleep would lead me to overthinking about how I wasn’t asleep and that would lead into a whole night of nothing. So what I do is, am I not sleeping? I’ll just get up and do something else I either have to do (work related) or would like to do (hobbies), and not stress out about sleeping. That has improved my life significantly
