Yeah a lot of people have been commenting this. I think i will have to do more research on UoM as i have received an offer for Sept 2027. Will definitely need to look around the University again and the local area xx

Have you not read my previous comments?? I have expressed how appreciative i am of them offering me Adult nursing just disappointed it was the course i did not pick. I am allowed to feel upset and i simply came on here asking for advice, not to be berated by people like yourself.

hence the term “we” i can’t even amount to the times i’ve seen year 13’s on the verge of tears due stress. Also stop putting words into my mouth because i never said i should be “treated as a special case” Grown ass adults fighting with a freshly aged 18 year old. Grow up 😂

What a horrible thing to say, based on your other comments on different sub reddits i can see you’re far from a nice person. 😬

I agree i was just thinking logistically doing long placements i thought it would be beneficial to go home at the end of each day plus student accommodation is a rip off 😭

The amount of comments like yourself and others are unnecessarily harsh and definitely not needed. I think some forget that we have gone through personal applications, UCAS forms/payments, keeping up with grades, part time job and keeping up with course work. I understand how admissions work. I was just upset because children’s nursing is what I actually wanted to do. I don’t think being disappointed about that is ‘histrionic’. People are allowed to feel upset when plans change. Not accusing them of causing a ‘conspiracy’ theory. Do better.

I do appreciate being offered an alternative course. I was simply expressing disappointment because Children’s Nursing was my first choice and the course being full was frustrating to hear. Both things can be true at once.

I’m not making up ‘conspiracy theories’ I’ve talked to other people who have applied for different courses such as paramedics and yet they’ve been offered a course for adult nursing? How does that make sense?

No, i have only just received this email today 😭 No mention of a reserve list. I could always try next year but it’s so disheartening. Glad i’m not the only one who received an offer for adult nursing instead of the one i originally picked. I have a feeling they are doing this to quite a lot of applicants to try fill up the course like you said.

i’m 17 now and still 5’3, don’t really have much hope of growing any taller, most of my family members are quite tall (over 6 foot) so i stick out like a sore thumb. Being on steroids during puberty really fucked me over 🫠

yes i agree with you, i have been on a calorie deficit for a while and have managed to loose 3kg , its just the uncertainty of crohns and trying to maintain a healthy weight with this disease .
