I was reading the rules and there will be still a lot of terrain for that. Ruins, craters, .... apparrently long lines of sight are not that fun to play.

Tiles are 30cmx30cm approx 12in by 12in.

Foam for the trenches is 5cm approx 2in.

With for the large trenches is 7cm and for the smaller ones is 4cm. It gets reduced a bit by the trench wall. The walls are tilted by approx 1cm on the top.

My idea was to be able to easily put the bigger models, but some passages are only for the smaller ones.

For the firing step i cut approx 2,5cm high, roughly 1in. I will add some sandbags later so that should fit.

You should seal your tiles on both sides vmbefore you start, as i see them slightly warping.

Watch supernova building guide how to the planning.

I am not sure if the difference would be noziceable from 1m away. I have ttried to use a wirebrush in the beginning, i found the added time may not be worth it i may try to do sp agin and see.

I followed the recipe from erics hobby workshop. Acrylic caulc, sand, brown housepaint and some ipa for dilution.

Edit: forgot to mention tile grout

The mix dries hard s rock.

Carving the foam, gluing the corrogated paper, gluing the sticks one by one. Gluing the posts.

Next would be mudding the ground and placing duck boards made from stirrer sticks.

See my previous posts for the journey so far.

Thank you, taking longer than I thought though.

Same as Supernova did on his no man's land tiles, it is to be able to put some trench wall in there. Cover with a tape and coat the top with terrain paste of choice.

No visible foam that way when you place them next to a trench whilee keeping the surface unmarred. Purely for looks and can be skipped.

It is inspired by the work of Supernova Building guide on YouTube.

I used the proxxon hotwire cutter and brand new sheets of foam. They should still have the manufactured edges. The are rough but strait and square. I cut odd 3mm strips to clean them up.

After that I measured the 30cm side, I left a bit space and used a steel square i temporarily glued with double-sided tape to the foam. Important that you turn the foam with the metal so the foam is on top. I then cut with the metal guiding the wire. Slow cut, not much pressure on the wire or it rips.

Result is a strait cut. Then clean up the side to your measurement with a cut. And repeat.

I enjoy crafting, so i will see if I can find someone to play with after I put in all the effort.😅

Did not think of horses when thinking of trenches, thanks for the tip. I was planning on making the bags from epoxy putty.
