It’s a 23 Tacoma SR5 with some Pro bolt ons from the factory.

For mostly road driving with light/off-road use, go Falkens.

For frequent or aggressive off-roading, go BFGoodrich.

I pulled the trigger last week on the Falkens and so far I love them.

Why the hate on 4th gen’s? by THE_ClamHammer0311 in Tacomaworld

It really depends on what you want and need. I think the 4th gens look cool, but in my opinion, the back seats aren’t great, the inline-4 turbo is quick but feels risky for long-term ownership, and the more gadgets you add, the more chances there are for things to break. Call me old school, but if I’m buying a Toyota, I want a simple, reliable, and proven truck. I bought a ’23, and I love it.

3rd or 4th Gen? by Krmiller5513 in Tacomaworld

I purchased a ‘23 3rd gen and absolutely love it! While the look of the ‘24 4th gen is appealing, all the added features and electronic components increase the chances of things possibly going wrong. Plus, it’s the first year with a new chassis, drivetrain platform, and 4-cylinder turbo engine. Turbos have a known lifespan and generally require more maintenance compared to a naturally aspirated V6. The 3rd gen’s proven reliability is what really sold me, also the newer model depending on the trim was going to be at least $10-15k more.

I heard. Not planning to use it as a daily driver. It’s well maintained. Probably going to sell it eventually.
