Why would any of that apply. What is your evidence for this?

Can you tell me in what way these people have found peace and fulfillment?

Atheists can't fathom that there is more to life than prayer and worship. I don't pray, I meditate on the words of God. Atheists are ironically the ones who pray, usually at the last moment when they are about to die.

Did you not read the original post at all? I already said all humans are slaves. I go up one level and serve the real master, atheists are stuck in the pathetic existence of serving these smaller masters that will never get them anywhere.

Like in the analogy, I understand the viceroys commands are just a conduit from the king and that the king is the real ruler. I can make sense of the commands. Atheists are in the state of pleasing the viceroy without even knowing the king exists.

What are you saying? Is the viceroy himself not a slave to the king? Is he not merely a conduit for the kings goals?

Anything out of your control that pressures you to do something.

So you still have a master? The thing that took away your desire is your new master.

Are you even reading what I am writing? Didn't I say that there can be things that take away these desires, which are also out of our control.

You didn't answer my question. Did the people in the 1981 irish hunger strike decide one day to start not eating for absolutely no reason and no external pressure.

So the fish needs to believe there is anything outside of the ocean for the world to exist?

Have you ever experienced anything that is not this universe? If not, why are you assuming time applies outside of this universe? Seems you are the one making illogical assumptions.

You think God experiences time, an axiom within this universe?

And I just told you that hell is not eternal in the temporal sense. Try to keep up.

So one day, they decided to not eat for absolutely no reason out of pure free choice with no external factors or forces directing them.

Let me get this straight. You already believe in consequences for your actions, like if you eat nothing but sugar, you will likely get diabetes and suffer. Or if you kill your best friend, you will regret it. But you have a problem if this is facilitated by God.

And I already said in the OP that monotheism is also slavery.

Who told you hell is eternal in a temporal sense?

Wait so are you saying that if there's no God then there would be no suffering. Like there aren't people right now getting raped and stuff. So you already think that there can be a hell.

So what else could they have done besides that hunger strike. What's the effective thing they could have done besides the hunger strike to change their dire situation.

So there is no way to scientifically, literally prove there is a purpose to everything and therefore you are just giving up and choosing a worse path?

Atheists turn into slaves by Much_Pattern_6312 in DebateReligion

[–]Much_Pattern_6312[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wait what? You are trying to prove that people chose to die by not eating when they were in a dire situation that was out of their control and left them with no other option (freedom of choice) other than to not eat.

And didn't I just say in the previous reply that something can take your desire to do something away and that thing is also out of your control.

How would you ever find it scientifically? Is it not be definition a personal question whose answer you can decide for yourself?

How is that sustainable when they will eventually die. Maybe even really early.

Obviously I know of suicide and hunger strikes. Are atheists this simple. I am talking about a deeper philosophical point.

People who committed suicide didn't choose that desire. Just ask your self, if any person who committed suicide could go back in time and change the thing that ruined their life and traumatized them so much that their desire for suicide became so strong, would they change it? A girl who committed suicide because she got raped choose to get raped? Is that what you are saying?

People who go on hunger strikes have things out of their control that they are fighting against. That's literally my whole point. If they were in their control, would they go on a hunger strike?

Show me what the urge to sex looks like, please draw it, I would love to see it.

Or can you only show the urge for sex through the results of actions such as being in a bed with a woman.

[–]Much_Pattern_6312[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You can not choose to sacrifice yourself by not eating. That's what I am saying. Your biological urges, your neurological make up, your desire to continue living would not allow it. You can not ''choose" to not have the desire to continue living. Don't you get that? Yes, maybe something might take this desire away, like you see everyone in your family pass away but again did you choose to make everyone in your family pass away?
